Most people are playing low tier games because high tier is so toxic. My idea is make BR V in its own search. 1 could also be said to have it’s own tier so new players figure out the game before going into the craziness that can be enlisted. I think either BR I, BR II and III, BR IV and V or BR I and II, BR III and IV and V by itself
BR III and IV then BR V by itself
I enjoy fighting III’s, IV’s, and V’s all together though. Makes for more interesting matches than just III and IV or just V by itself
some of the BR V stuff weren’t even actual weapons though. They had concepts and design ideas. Put the “fake” war stuff in BR V and let those people play in their fantasy world.
NO until DF nerf GL and impact grenades
These things are true toxic and only BR5 firearms can punish them really bad
There’s lot of prototypes in BR2 as well, lol.
I concur. I think the queues should be 1-2,3-4 and 5 by itself. Also taking the PPSH, PPD40, fedorov (nerfed rpm) and avs down to tier 4 as well as Germany’s Mp717, kiraly, mkb and tiger E being at tier 4.
Yes, every nation needs this (outside of Japan for obvious reasons). There is a lot of fail squads / loadouts utilized (by mistake or intentionally) by newbies to respective nation, rendering them useless in top BR game - especially with those damn Tier I and II tanks noticed in BR V games.
Separate BR V to new category at once! This is no matter of balance, but player experience on both sides. Noone wants constant stomps with no effort, or guaranteed losses from the very beginning.
I disagree. I think setting up three separate queues:
1,2,3
2,3,4
3,4,5
would likely create a better balance than simply splitting 5 off on its own.
Now the game work well. I play BR2 and BR5 (except Japan). BR5 with the Soviets are very challenging!
What is your point? Were you playing BR5?
any chance at all that a BR II player could get pulled into a 3,4,5 game just to fill a game? That’s that problem.
I’m not sure how the “Join Any Match” option works with regards to that. But assuming that setting is not on, the only way I know of to get into a top tier fight with a BR2 lineup is to be in a party where someone else is a BR4 or BR5. They would be forced to fight top tier and you would follow with them
if you see what i was actually replying to that would make more sense
1,2,3
2,3,4
3,4,5
Oh, sorry. I would think that 1,2,3 and 2,3,4 would be the normal queues under this system an a BR2 would only be eligible for matching in a 3,4,5 match if they have the “Join Any Match” option set and one of those matches is having trouble filling rosters for some reason (or if you are in a party)
I’d also honestly be up for slightly more dynamic matching where if there is a matchmaking session for 1,2, and 3 that if there’s trouble filling out rosters, open it up to pull in ONE BR4 per each side. But that is a bit more complicated of a concept so I left it out.
honestly it should go
BR I-newbies
BR 2,3,4
BR 5 -“fantasy weapons”
Why not simply fix the BR system instead, by finally applying ±1BR?
We have Currently ±2BRs because of BR3, which is causing all the problems.
If you match in as any BR, the match that you should face would be either fighting with your BR and one BR higher, or lower, but never both - because that would always result in the players that have 1BR lower than yours to fight 2 BRs higher than his.
The possible matchups should be:
1-2 2-3 3-4 4-5
That right here was the whole point of having these BRs in the first place.
Right now we have 1-3 or 3-5, which is stupid, and makes the BRs obsolete, because effectively we only have BR5 or BR3 matches, which means we could have just as well simply added only two BRs.
I think adding one more matching level addresses all of the concerns without diluting the game into a WW1 game at the bottom, a WW2 game in the middle, and a “never happened” hypothetical post-WW2 war at BR5.
1,2,3 shelters the noobs from the “fantasy weapons.”
2,3,4 would pull in MG42s and experienced players.
3,4,5 serves to give the players who collect the high level premium weapons a good time. We usually can still take them out just fine with BR3 weaponry.
I play BR3 almost exclusively; it creates the most fun scenarios. I nearly always get Battle Hero regardless of whether I go up or down. I can attest that BR3 is not at any particular disadvantage compared to BR5 stuff. BR5 typically have larger magazines or drums, but a sniper headshot puts them out of commission regardless of their battle rank.
…I don’t think there is a problem to solve EXCEPT for low BR3 players. If you go into the top tier with the Garand as your best weapon, you’ll have a bad time coming up against MKb42, StG44s, and MG42s. You’re the noob at that level. You have to get the Enfield sniper rifle(BR3) and the BAR(BR3) before you’ll be able to even it out.
I think a 2,3,4 queue would be very beneficial by letting the 2s come up against heavy firepower to see what it’s like as well as get the people right on the fringe of BR3 a random break from the assault rifles.
