I understand the need for the BR system, but I would really like it if I could be in BR3 for Germany, or BR3 in general, to not get smoked by BR5’s. A suggestion would be this, give the option for those in lower BR’s to either to up tier or down tier. It would be refreshing if I wasn’t fighting against p-47’s which I am under equipped to do so. I can see issues with this choice to do so, but I think a compromise on matchmaking time is acceptable in my opinion because I tend to leave games that are effectively unfair. I would be fine as a BR3 fighting BR4’s, but not BR5. That fundamentally is a huge disadvantage because I don’t have as good of gear to fight tommy’s, as-44’s, or fedorove’s for that matter. Though vehicles I can counter, it is frustrating to go against infantry that are much better equipped than me and have more powerful weapons than me, specifically referring to BR5 players. That discrepancy is no where near as apparent when I played BR4 Germany and USA because I had close to just as strong arsenal as my opponents on the ground. If you have suggestions that can better improve my idea, please let me know!
I guess I should clarify better, I want to be able to avoid playing BR5’s at BR3 because I am starting to notice I just jump straight to BR5 to research because it’s unbearable to grind at BR3.

I was suggesting a +1/-1 BR adjustment, not +2/-2.
BR1-3 and 3-5 is just how it works right now although BR+1/-1 is the most ideal matchmaking rule. But iI must stress that BR1 should not face BR2 at all since there is a huge disparity of equipment power between BR1 and BR2. You don’t want to fight a Grant using Pz. II C or Pzb 38 anti-tank rifle.

I do the same. I join and leave at least 10 games to find a balanced game.

It’s impossible to play BR3 against BR5. I could suggest more XP for those who play with BR3. But then the BR5 players will cry and complain. So don’t expect that.
Another alternative would be BR3-BR3 matchmaking. But the game doesn’t have enough players for that (who wants to play in unbalanced games?).
Another problem with your point is the angry kids. They won’t accept playing in a balanced game because then they won’t get easy kills. Imagine them playing as equals. They’ll quit the next day.
I hope my response wasn’t toxic. We’ve been asking for a more balanced game for almost 2 years and nothing has been done. So your only alternative is to accept it and play games like this.
Or just have the queues be 1-2,3-4 and 5. Just 1-2 be early to mid war. 3-4 be 1943-late 1944 and 5 be just 1944-end war. Thus keeping Stalingrad out of tier 5 and eventually adding new battles into 3-4 and 5 queue.
Personal opinion- also changing the br5 weapons that at the very least existed during the early phases of the war for them to be tier 4 would be ideal.

It’s people like you who make this game unplayable. The amount of matches that could have been a hard fought win but end up as a pointless loss because half of the team left at first sight of adversity is depressing. You don’t want “balanced matches”. You want seal clubbing
I don’t have any issues using BR III Thompson’s, BAR’s, and M1 Garand’s against BR V Germany. They die all the same
The queues have multiple fronts to pick from now. So A queue system as the one I recommended wouldn’t kill.
I am still waiting for the actual introduction of the battlerating system, because what we have right now doesn’t make sense - so far there is only BR 3 and BR 5 as separate queues, because B3 will fight BR 1, while BR5 will fight BR3.
Only two BRs are supposed to meet each other in a match, the current BR system does not work.

As I said, you dont like balanced games because you cant farm kills. But there are those who want a balanced game.
Brother, I’ve almost exclusively been playing the most underpopulated factions for the past month because I like the challenge and I want to die when I find myself fighting a completely hapless teams.
A depressing amount of losses while playing as the underdogs comes down to "half my team left after first one/two caps (usually the most experienced players with best gear) because they want “balanced match”. Meanwhile the match they left often ends up with “the enemy team would have lost if even 1 or 2 players haven’t left”
So I find your idea of “balanced” rather suspicious
How do you know if it’s balanced if you don’t play?
Some of the best matches I’ve had in this game was when I was convinced my team was headed to the slaughter but we pulled it off with teamwork. Some of you look at the scoreboard at match start and just, idk, use PSYCHIC POWER to anticipate the game?
Don’t get me wrong, I desert on occasion but mostly for IRL reasons. Leaving 10 or even 5 games in a row is just…what are you doing?
You can’t cry about lack of balanced matches while also gloating about leaving every match you join, lil bro
