Because it was always unplayable for one side.
Besides, people used to play campaigns to progress, not because they liked the maps, take Stalingrad for example which objectively has one of the best maps in the game and yet very few people played it…
Source?
I kinda doubt the stacked people in Normandy were still just grinding, lol.
That goes literally against the thing you’ve just said. It was incredible fast to progress the campaign.
Unless you didn’t pay for full access. But there was literally no reason to play the campaign without it.
Dates don’t have to strictly align with BR. That’s a construct in your mind rather than some superior understanding of data.
Not really, one of the best map in the game was not played because people either already finished grind or didnt want to buy it.
Grinding event or helping newer players grind.
Normandy was not popular for the maps, it was popular because it had Tiger I, FG42, StG44, M1 garand, P-47 and P-51 Mustang. Everyone wanted these so people played the campaign just as Germany suddenly stacked Berlin once merge was announced.
I played normandy cause it was the campaign I was most interested in before the merge.
Same. And I like most of the Normandy maps.
Me too, besides the swamp one, I really disliked it
Reverse D Day is cancer too
Unpopular opinion I guess but I actually like the Tunisia maps…
Its the Ardennes/Bulge maps that I wish to avoid…
That’s your opinion but I disagree, I kinda like the struggle of pushing the allies back to the beachs.
And that’s your opinion which I can understand and respect, some of the Bulge’s map are not good.
Wow, you can’t be serious with this reasoning.
It’s not a struggle. It’s pure bad map design/game mode balancing. Having the attacking team constantly having the high ground looking down into a kill box is madness. They can see into literally every default spawn point and set up AT guns on the right side hill and decimate whole squads as soon as you spawn. Not to mention the tanks having the high ground too. You’ve clearly never played against a competent attacking team (or even an average attacking team) on this map, otherwise you’d know.
Maybe I have maybe I haven’t, but it’s clear that our definition of competent is different and so is fun.
It’s clear you haven’t. Because you’re the only one who likes that map/mode so just say you’ve never defended or played against real players and stop kidding yourself.
I quite like it too…
If your definition of fun is repetitively dying as soon as you spawn and losing in 3 minutes then sure.
N
That’s maybe true, and you have every right to disagree with me, but I still think it’s a good game mode/map.
Why must you fill my thread with lies?
Nice to see someone else agree with me
