Since the BR changes BR IV is empty for many nations and there is easy solution to that we can put some of the BR V planes to BR IV and buff some BR IV planes:
Germany:
The G-6 is very solid BR IV fighter plane and I understand we can’t give it big bomb but at least replace its small bombs with 2 × Wfr.Gr.21 for BR IV that’s a good anti tank capabilities.
Move the J2M3 to BR IV and replace its useless bombs with 2 × Type 5 No.6 Mod.9 rockets will make this plane real BR IV fighter that will give BR IV Japan diversity considering its high altitude fighter.
Well since the moved the AP-4C to BR V US has no BR IV fighter and really this plane is the best option for BR IV fighter its not BR V fighter plane so we return it back to BR IV.
We move the La-7 to BR IV since the bombs are not to big this plane will be the best option for BR IV USSR fighter it will require no work for the devs and its bombs are not too big so it will be a nice BR IV fighter plane.
With minor changes to existing planes we can have real BR IV fighters very easy with a minor patch where the devs wont be wasting much resources and BR IV will be much better BR stacking everything in BR V is not very good for gameplay.
I think that’s the easiest way to fix the gap of BR IV fighters all this planes are real BR IV fighter planes that have a bit better armament then BR III but worse then BR V and yet will be able to fight BR V fighters.
Those rockets are strong… on paper. They have high dispersion and require direct hits for tank kills.
It would be a nerf…
As for La7. It’s the game’s best TT fighter, if you don’t count a certain ufo jet… it’s br5 not because of it’s loadout, but because of it’s unparalleled maneuverability.
Well its nerf for the players that can’t use them for the good pilots they are the buff since they can destroy even Super Pershing they are very good against vehicles and you can kill them on a move while bombs can hardly kill moving targets they explode with delay so its easier to doge them by simply moving specially if they are small. But yes if you are not a good pilot they are a nerf but if you are good pilot with the G-6 maneuverability you can destroy targets on locations that bombs cant reach.
Well yes in low altitude its good and its only good cuz you don’t face Japan or you don’t fight G-6 in high altitude or you are not going in a straight fight with boom and zoom plane. The Zero is the best TT fighter in BR II but try to fight a high altitude fighter in the sky you will notice the bad performance on of the plane in high altitude.
The J2M3 can outperform the LA-7 you simply don’t engage in dog fight but in Climb and there is the G-10 that has similar statistics but much…much more firepower. So just like the Zero the La despite is a good dog fighter has lack of fire power and there is G.55 on the same BR that can outrun even the La-7 so La-7 have very strong competition on BR IV.
You don’t get it… it’s a nerf for good pilots, because pilots already know howto bomb very accurately and explode tanks even with 50kg bombs.
The rockets thought. They have dispersion. Meaning you cannot accurately aim them since they will go a bit in random directions… hitting tanks with those amount to dumb luck.
As for La7, ask any veteran pilots here the La7 EATS even the G10 for breakfast. Pretty much all veterans pilots I know agree it’s best TT fighter (except ufo Meteor ofc )
No thats not true the best fighter in game is Ki-84-Ko (without the Meteor since Meteor is very OP much better then La) its just a Beast more fire power better in a dog fighter better bombs and its low altitude its too bad we don’t have USSR vs Japan you would realize how good is Ki. The LA 7 was good in the past now there is very strong competition Fiat G 55 is also very strong plane Im not sure is the LA really better its easier to use but its competitive to Fiat G 55 even in a dog fight the G 55 will come on top and it has weakness it cant pass 750+ altitude so if you fight it with J2M3 just go up and you will see how the La gonna go nose down same is with Jets just go up and don’t engage it. The La is very good against bad pilots just like the Zero but its bad against people that refuse to engage you. They just fly away. For an instance the J2M3 goes to 1350+ the La 750+ its very huge advantage over the La-7.Also the meta changed now its speed and big payloads.
No its not dumb luck its skill really they are very bad on German Ground attackers but on FW 190 A-8 are amazing and on BF will be even more OP since the plane is very stable but if you wish they can give us two options of the plane I really want BF 109 G-6 with rockets I prefer them they are so good.
But lets ask @Myrm1don Give us your opinion cuz to mee La doesn’t look that good in the new meta

Not that I don’t agree in way but also the plane doesn’t have BR V anti ground capabilities the payload is BR IV no HE ammo better post in game data and Germany and Japan have solid BR IV fighters.
Here is a better idea… I-185 M-82 can be moved from BR V to BR IV

I-185 M-82 engine was a 1400 horsepower one but could achieve 1700 horsepower for 1-3 minutes before risking being damaged. M-82F would fix this and could run at 1700hp for prolonged times but I-185 prototype never had this one. M-71 engine has 2000 Horsepower.
Well the payload is the problem here I-185 M was my first idea but 2x250 kg bombs for a fighter at BR IV there is no such fighter at this BR with this big payload and there is some planes that can be added but im trying to save the devs development time since we gonna wait for new planes 10000 years xD
LA-7 is a strong all round plane. The new meta (jets) doesnt change the old one amongst propeller aircraft.
Against jets, the La 7 has a better time than the k-4 (especially as it doesnt see meteors and p-80s)
In Warthunder you can make use of altitude and speed alot more than in Enlisted (theres only so far you can run, and cant see far for bad render distance)…and the lead indicator showing 1500 meters away makes any move giving your back extremely risky
Enlisted forces knife fights, also enlisted has changed the planes stats.
So at least vs germany, its still a really strong fighter. Id rate it more dangerous than the k-4 and corsair.
It should be noted that the achillies heel of most top BR fighters is lower BR fighters (knife fighters)
Well fair enough but I really think the meta Changed specially Jet planes made Japan RIP BR V faction and its constant jet spam and planes like La-7 are rarely played I don’t remember when was the last time I have seen LA-7.
In my opinion, considering competing with jet planes, an overkill is just right.
However, if the BR4 fighter becomes too strong, the BR3 will become weaker. This is a difficult adjustment, but we need to ensure that BR4 does not fight against BR5 at its current strength, or we need to manage it well.
For sure, what i meant was that all prop planes are not immune from that. Jets didnt make the la7 worse than the k-4 for example (the nation match up certainly made the k-4 worse though)
So unless you want to move all br 5 prop planes
Really its only the allied jets that are scary. 262 and su9 arent that difficult for prop fighters
