I DON’'T have every gun unlocked in BR III and none of them have been leveled up. I’m also F2P, so, only 3 Infantry squad at once. (I don’t like playing vehicles.) BR I is really hit or miss. Would BR II or BR III be better to play while leveling squads? Are teammates better there? XD (To be fair, half of the matches are filled with bots now.)

I would get max br2 gear first and once you have the weapons for the squads you use upgrade to br3. focus on maxing out your radio squad, anti tank squad, and engineer squad because lvl 5 troops comes in hand with those specialist. when you got 5 star troops available you can give them bags for ammo and grenades or even for more medkits that can come in clutch for picking up random teammates. BR2 is more relaxed but theres a chance no one will build rally points so maybe bring a APC as well

You’re already playing BR2 for the most part since the match making would put your BR1 against both BR levels. So, what you’re building to fight is that occasional BR3 match you will encounter once you start adding BR2 weapons. So, to fight in BR3 you need the Fedorov 1912 semi auto over your bolt action rifles. I would start buying these first, but hold back till you can equip your squads fully with them. Your PPD-34 can still be competitive even against BR3, however, once you’ve stocked your riflemen, engineers and radiomen with the Fedorov then I would start exchanging your PPD’s for either the PPS-42, PPS-43 or the Uragan smg’s. Since those SMG’s are all BR2 they will cost the same, so which one you get will be your preference. I’ve used all, but I actually prefer the PPS-42. but you can try them before dishing out your silver for them. However, you should be able to play just fine against BR3 with your current level one PPD-34’s and level two Fedorov’s.
I think BR2 between the Germans and Soviets seems to be the most competitive, and even after playing over three years, whether I play Germans or Soviets I usually play BR2.

BR2 Soviets can compete against BR3 Germans - but BR3 Soviets have massive issues fighting BR4 German tanks.
BR2 is the safer route to play - but if you manage to bring alot of AT soldiers AND you learn to use Panzerfaust 60 at 100 - 200 meters you can still dominate with BR3.
Just remember:
Soviet BR2 SMGs and the new semi auto are superior to German BR2 small arms, IL2 is crazy strong for BR2 but you are limited to T28E - the other Soviet vehicles kinda suck.
BR3 Soviet weapons aren’t really that much of an upgrade, well SVT38 is really really great for being a BR3 semi auto and PPSH box has bugged OP dispersion - but Germany gets a big boost in infantry power at BR3 because ZK-383, MG34 and Beretta 38A are massive upgrade to BR2 weapons.
Also KV1 and T34 STZ are OP in BR2 and BR3 matches - BUT in return are practically useless in BR4.

BR2 got so powerful that you don’t really need BR3 as you are already have BR3 power with your smgs, planes and tanks.

Except you are not, T28 got upgraded with APHE and there is event BT-7A F-32 with 76mm (or premium M3 Medium) so you can circle them 24/7. BR2 Soviets are now extremely powerful

I excluded premium vehicles, and T28E is obviously better than T28. Same why I say Panzer IVF1 is the only logical Panzer IV to use.
Soviets only have T28E, while German has more variety in Puma, Panzer IIIJ1 and Marder - tho Panzer IVF1 and T28E are both pretty much best picks anyways.

Doesn’t matter if T-28E is better than T-28 only thing it matters is that they can now spawn two very powerful tanks that have cannon as good as BR3 tanks but at BR2.
None of the German tanks are as good as T-28/E

I played 2 matches last night in BR I to use up my XP Boosts. Lost both matches, partially because no one built rallies besides me. Faced the same issue many times playin the allies. I’m used to it- LOL
