Br 5 is a disaster

I blame their incompetence mixed with gaijin giving soviet player BRIV tank as a starter pre merge and THEN changing the 110g2 (most infamous plane next to p-38 even in high tier) to BRIV!

BRV Soviets is dead in the water already with that… you ever wonder why when you play it people spawn with snipers? It’s because they have that, medic and some other shit mixed with t-34-85… cycle it and then sit in back the entire game because their guns dont match up to the enemies… i wonder why!!!

What? They have what?

If you logged in before the campaign system was removed then you would have one of the br4 t34 variants as it was the default Berlin tank for the reds.

What did the Germans get?

The panzer 4 j I believe, it’s the one without the armour skirts

I have every BR level maxed, however the vast majority of games I play are BR2, either with the Germans or Soviets, otherwise I will play BR3 with Allies. I find the best competition in BR2.

I mostly play in low BR because the developers have added too many prototype jets, weapons, and tanks.
I also stick to it because I enjoy using certain squads or equipment that would be useless against players running only BR5 weapons… imagine my Moroccan Goumiers squad going up against a fully kitted BR5 AR squad! Or my old Panzer III (old gold orders with unique skins) that I like to bring out from time to time—how am I supposed to punch through those powerful Russian or American tanks with just a 37 mm cannon?

I stay as far away from BR5 as possible because those matches just don’t feel like the kind of Enlisted battles I’ve loved playing since before the campaign merge.

And finally, new players can learn much more easily by watching veterans play alongside them (or even against them). For example, they can see how to properly set up a rally point (and protect it with mines and sandbags) or how to fortify a position—before they’re thrown into matches against over-equipped, over-trained players.

This game is far from competetive. It is a casual game where you mow down bots and occasionally meet an actual player. Low br is more fun because the equipment balance is much better there. In high br everyone can run around with auto rifles making certain soldier classes completely obsolete and the constant explosive spam just makes these games unenjoyable. There is no point forcing veterans to suffer.

And if they suddenly just forced all veterans to play br 5 they would lose quite big portion of their playerbase. Many veteran players have built loadouts for lower brs and even bought low br premiums. If they would be forced to fight br 5 these would become obsolete and im sure nobody would like that. Same with event rewards. Why would br 5 locked veterans want to participate in events that have low br rewards?

So if you want to ban me from playing low BR then the devs would kinda need to REFUND all the low BR premiums aswell… which they wont or it would bankrupt their studio.
Also BR 5 is a mess with constant spam everwhere which isnt enjoyable for a long time before it all becomes tedious and frustrating.

I disagree, in fact would argue it’s what makes them fun special. I edited this as it is just not fun repeatedly getting killed by explosions… perhaps don’t go places where a plane would hit like directly behind objective and or follow your team so they all get bombed.

I’m a strict high BR player and have just became used to it… there will always be p-47 and meteor bombing me and or tiger shelling objective/ ju188 circling around.

To each their own… people with that mindset can stay in low BR and not try to change “our”fun.

It’s why grenade launchers, ap mines and impact made were all nerfed… not just because they are annoying but because the average enlisted player cannot take getting killed by any form of explosion.

Agree, I very rarely play in a competitive game.

This is a very important subject and I have a solution. When I want to play sweaty, with everyone having an automatic and jets and high explosive everywhere, I play BR5. When I want more bolts and old school stuff, I play BR2. When I want…more or less kinda sorta WW2 style fights, I go BR3. I don’t care what other people use. It’s none of my damn business. Camping in the gray zone? I don’t care, I’ll find a way to get you. I don’t care what your KD is, or your win ratio. I’m just here to have fun. People who spend all day on forums and complain that something is in the wrong BR, or a camo is wrong on whatever, really need to find a better hobby.

That’s why I never play Squads and only play Lone Fighters. I’d say less than 15% of the players are bots (bots can still spawn in Lone Fighters either if you spawn a multi crew vehicle including APCs or they will randomly spawn on you as regrouping which isn’t very often but still happens) and those that are bots die quickly and the absolute good thing about it is that you only need 3 soldiers per squad to cycle through them so you don’t have to pay and buy expensive equipment for all the soldiers in the squad and only 3 soldiers are enough (2 if your squad has only 3 members like some sniper squads).
The competition is also very high and the players aren’t just some random guys you never see again. Some of them play regularly and you’d remember their names after a couple of games and since there is not much bots in game almost every enemy is a try hard person trying to kill you which makes survival and killing more enjoyable. On top of that friendly fire is enabled and you have to be careful to not to kill your teammates.

Overall if you want to experience competition play Lone Fighters.
