This Me-410 is far out of its league at BR 5. It has been collecting dust ever since its implementation. In its current state, its little more than a side grade to BR 3 BF110s capabilities. It has the Same payload that is standard in BR 2 and 3.
Germany does not need another BF110 side grade with the same payload, so a buff is preferable. I favour @Euthymia07-live suggestion that 500kg bombs would be the better choice.
There are two options I will suggest for this plane:
Option 1: (This one should be Priority!)
BR 4 Me410 B-1
- Move to BR 4
- increase payload to 2x 500kg bombs (or potentially 8x50kg bombs for BR 3?)
This Would be the preferred choice as it becomes slightly more appealing at BR 4 with bigger bombs.
Before you get your panties in a twist, I will be recommending buffing the IL-10 for use in BR 4.
Option 2:
(Axis does not need another side grade BF110 as @Euthymia07-live has rightly pointed out…but without a buff, it may Aswell be at BR 3 where it might see some use)
BR 3 Me410 B-1
- Move to BR 3
This Option is essentially a Side grade to the already available BF110s. The Me-410 is slight faster, and slightly less maneuverable. It carry’s a standard payload for most BR 2/3 attackers. Even Some fighters at BR 2/3 carry this payload while being faster and more maneuverable.
Speed Comparisons:
The main difference in the Stats table is speed. Its a little bit misleading because thats not the speeds you can expect to go in Enlisted (Outside of Diving)
All of these attackers operate between 440 and 480 kph in practice. And that’s flying straight and level before reaching the edge of the map …So realistically…these speeds aren’t going to be reached short of diving.
All of these Attackers such as the Me-410 are fighter fodder, while barely carrying any more ordnance.
Conclusion:
The ME 410 has been collecting Dust at BR 5 for a year and a half. There is nothing remarkable about it and its poor maneuverability and unfinished Tail gunners make it an easy target. There is no reason to pick this over BR 3 attackers as any difference is barely notable.
Option 1 is the desired outcome, but in the meantime Option 2 can be achieved quickly until more time can be spent on it.
