I think custom match bots are a bit smarter than regular match bots.
I noticed today while playing a custom match alone that they sometimes lean in and shoot at me while hiding in the tree, and their reaction time to me is faster than usual.
Also, when downed by a shot, they will try to crawl and hide in a safe position or throw dynamite at the tanks.
When attacking CPs, they would fire at you from the front and the sides, and it was very challenging to play with them.
I have never seen this kind of bot in a regular match.
Is the regular match bot nerfed?
yea i think the reg are easy mode while custom are extremely good like they build rally too which is a surprise when i play the flak tower mod
well, custom matches SQUAD AI are exactly the same as normal / regular squad Bots.
which more or less do the job.
and then you have LONE FIGHTER ais, which are somewhat superior to regular ones as they have higer reaction times, lower detection ( of enemies ) time and more precision when firing. ( mostly to fill gaps. but they sometimes can be questionable, as they can land perfect shots across the map when he was looking somewhere else )
Bots never lean. What happened is that another player must’ve joined the same custom match you did
The match at that time had a password that only I knew.
The bot didn’t lean, it hid behind trees and shadows and only appeared when it was time to shoot, and when it was done shooting, it hid behind obstacles again.
It wasn’t leaning, but it moved like a human being.
They are taking over.
After earning my event XP for the day, I played with the bot in a custom match to relax.
The match was passworded and I was supposed to be the only human.
Can you see the first Japanese soldier I shot in this video hiding behind an obstacle in a downed state?
This movement is just like a human player.
Their movements are not yet perfect for the bot, but I feel they are steadily getting better.
Costum bot have a better AI
Bots in custom matches are way more powerful than those in the campaign. They build rallies, call arties, etc. But it seems those human-like behaviors happen only in bot−only squads, possibly to avoid consuming the player’s building materials and arty slots.
Bots can do a lot more in the campaign, and they should.
