Ehh, I never flew with it but I have experience with the stats, it looks good with its decent turn time but the reality is that its super slow so ultimately it doesn’t turn fastern than the bf-109 E which does have slower turn rate, but makes up for it in pure speed.
BR1 is reasonable for a retired premium plane.
Yes, these planes are exactly the ones I would put to BR2. They’re literally better than lot of BR2 planes and even some BR3 planes.
It’s unbelievable how good they are in comparison to other BR1 planes.
And I have no clue why we should just bloat BR1 with like 20 more planes just because there are like 4 planes currently that are overperforming af. What kind of argument is event that?
Maybe with exception for potez, I think that’s very bad plane. And I have no clue why you have picked that one.
Btw. Boomerang was most likely my most played US plane on Allied part of Pacific campaign back then.
I agree, its hilarious to me how Gaijin/Dark Flow makes Boomerang and Wirraway as premium aircraft. They did their job but sure as hell werent premium craft at all.
The CAC Boomerang is the one type of Boomerang unlikely to come back.
Wirraway was a hastily converted trainer (and the Boomerang reused various parts from it)
I wish these were tech tree and definitely should be only rank 1.
The Boomerang was found to be great at ground attack, terrible in dog fights. So again makes sense in BR I, not higher.
It’s a cool little plane. Have had the pleasure of shooting it down only once.
At the least, should be “fixed” by re-adding it to the store. BR3 does seem a number too high.
Will never understand the reasoning behind removing premium squads/vehicles. The store would be much juicier if everything that ever was and everything that ever will be, remained for sale.
My guess is two fold for that particular one:
first, they want to “create” rarity, to incite ppl to buy “back for a limited time only!” “will be removed soon, quick, buy!” etc.
the other is the “merge” happened. they probably just didn’t know where to put it… It’s a veeeery slow plane, with subpar values. It was fine with just Pacific. but when combined with Normandy and Tunisia… considering planes such as p38 at br2, or hurricane at br1 are now there… poor Boomerang just couldn’t fit and they removed it.
Would be just fine in br 1, thought.
I somewhat see the logic there. Especially if it were an actual physical/limited product.
But it’s digital. It lacks all the limitations of physical merchandise and can be continuously sold from a one time labor effort. Was given “premium” status solely to make money for the company and it fails to do that everyday it is not sold.
It is an absolute failure in utilizing corporate assets if you ask me. Anyways, not trying to get off topic.
I don’t think it’s because of p38 or the hurricane. But simply because the FP-5 has taken its place. And there was no need to have two BR3 premium fighters in store.
