Its often because those planes have very limited firing arcs and even when you are in arc, the AI is so shit it hardly is ever a concern.

Nothing to do with that my position is in clear sight… it might be as certin planes not mapped as enemy to bombers, post merge…
I dont think so, as I said above, the AI is just so terrible as well there is a solid chance it just didnt even shoot at you.
I can tell you for certain at least, that the AI has shot at me while in a P-40 in Tunisia too. Mind you, I think it made my wing a bit yellow and that was it considering I fell into the sweet spot between all 5 of them.
Yeah I noticed before too, most bombers shoot at my plane while others dont seem to shoot at all.
Dont know which plane/map etc.
BTW also some bombers fly very high and some very low sometimes

The JU-88 gunners dont fire.
They are present in the plane, but dont fire.
You can take your time and wipe out all 5 bombers without them taking a single shot at you.

Sometimes German airraid bombers are HE-111s and sometimes they are JU-88s.
Perhaps it differs per campaign, or BR?
This was the battle of Stalingrad BR 2.
The HE-111 will rip you apart while the JU-88 does not fire.
Dont know if bug or intentional.
I think it’s to do with enemy matching code post merge, or Ju88 don’t know you are enemy…
seems like they are testing on how to buff bombers so some maps have bombers too high(~1200m). they are kinda pain to kill with planes cause of the height.
Yeh on Pacific height of Jap bombers was insane, I couldn’t even reach them in time…
