The thing is that the Meteor has only one option for suspended weapons - 2x1000 pound bombs, no more, no less. Another thing is that the Bf 109 K-4 also had nothing smaller than a 500 kg bomb, but nevertheless it was given a 250 kg bomb. What prevented them from doing something similar with the Meteor, I don’t know, but I think there were reasons for that.
my argument is that under 20m blast wave is important cause it kills tanks and infantry and you can find a lot of area where you have 20m unobstructed area. on other hand tell me how much unobstructed area with more than 50m enlisted has? by that i mean clear sight and level field.
fragmentation radius past certain size is unimportant.
The radius where fragmentation becomes unimportant is the given distance.
And there are plenty of places in Enlisted where there is a clear radius >50m - players tend to avoid them due to often having lack of cover of course!
Blast doesn’t require a “level field” - is is 3D, unlike fragments which travel in straight lines so can be blocked by a small irregularity in the ground.
