Bomb loads of the new jets?

Hello comrades!

I just noticed

  • the allied jets got two 1000lbs bombs (= somewhat around 900kg in total)

  • the japanese got one 800 kg bomb

  • the german one got only one 500kg bomb

  • the soviet one got only one 500kg bomb

Why that? Why do soviets and germans have only half of the bomb load?

(additional question: Is the japanese 800kg bomb the biggest/strongest bomb ingame right now?)

TT Me262 should get another bomb and premium Me262 get one bomb. As it has none.

Not sure about Su but the ingame variant of the Me could not carry two 500kg bombs.

Yes but it doesnt seem to have any bigger crater or explosion effect

I’d really like to know as well.

Taking as example British bombs and usa bombs, both weighing the same, BUT having different exploding force in real life…

So I wonder if the 800kg for Japan is not merely a 500kg like Soviets and Germany in game.

It’s not only about bomb load. Soviet/German jets have much more potent cannons.

Germany got a sweet infantry staffing canon.

Soviets got the wonderful tank eating canon.

Both are not to be underestimated

It has spot for a 2nd bomb. And it’s not like game ever obeys irl stats anymore otherwise you wouldn’t have Su-9 in a TT as it’s a post ww2 plane and AS-44 only had 7 prototypes, RD-44 was also not ready for WW2.

Just another proof that current devs have no idea how to balance stuff.
They gave Kikka a 800 kg bomb instead of reducing Meteor 2x 1000 lbs → 2x 500 lbs which would be (roughly) the same as a 500 kg bomb (but having two big bombs is better than one very big bomb because you get twice the chance to hit the target).

Well, that was for 250kg bombs.

aside that, for some reason i have big problems at aiming bomb drops with jets- despite hitting everything with a stuka without exceptions.

I just cant drop jet bombs… could anyone give me a tip how to aim properly with them?

I would gladly take 2x 250kg bombs at least it won’t make me tilt to the side

I would be happy with even 2 250kg bombs, two big bomb is better than one very big bomb.
Carrying one bomb when you have space for two looks really dumb too.

See the point but I also like making big big craters.

Poor Germans they ran out of silver to upgrade their Wunderwaffe

The issue is that…

Jets are fast. Very fast. So they do not pull up as fast as a slower plane.

As such, dive bombing with a jet is not advised.

It’s probably why bombs are bigger on those. To compensate for the lower angle of bombing run you will take.

Only thing I dislike is that it realistically impact flight performances. Solved by dropping the bomb, but still feels funny.

you can, but it does take some getting used to, especially since these jets are bigger than most CAS so you need to use different timing when releasing the bomb.

What I mean is, if you want to dive bomb with those, you must either bleed speed too much making you a sitting duck after the drop

OR

Release the bomb much sooner, from way higher.

So really it’s better to just go at a safe and speed addicted 45 degree angle. Less accurate… but the bombs are so enormous… and you will retain your precious energy.

I just checked the ordnance stats, as I suspected the 500 kg bombs dont even have that much bigger radius to begin with.
