Bolt action rework (animations)

For those, who don’t know: The shot occurs when the striker hits the primer.
So after shot, position of striker should change.
But in game we have this (pic before firing last round and after):

Only gun with working animation I found is Carcano, but there is another problem, striker hits cartridge after shot is accured (after releasing LMB) and cartridge case goes through bolt:

Suggestion - make for every bolt-action animation where:
a) Striker hits round BEFORE shot
b) Spent case goes out AFTER bolt was opened .

“funny”, since it’s like this prior to day one btw.

kinda like the g41 reload and the other allied rifle that gets loaded with multiple clips :upside_down_face:

both got no fixes.

but i guess we’ll have to wait others few years

See Mosin sniper being loaded with rimless cartridges despite 7.62x54mmR being rimmed also AVS-36 magically opens the bolt when reloading.

i checked how the AVS36 functions IRL the bolt is meant to stay open after the mag is emptied, but in enlisted it doesnt

some of the animations are so bad that the end animation doesn’t fit the mesh so, many guns have a distinct ‘animational click’ as the animation ends and is replaced by the gun mesh. the AVS and M1919 for example

Even the SVT and the AVT have the same mistake like the bolt only magically opens when reloading instead of after firing the last round in the chamber.

ill give DF a break considering the game is still in beta, i certainly hope they make the game way more detailed and better when its fully released

DF: what these two words mean?

yeah the AVS reload looks like its meant to be for some other gun, im hoping they change it to something like reloading with left hand, then cycling the bolt with the right hand, like in COD WAW, the M1919 reload should be like the COD WAW reload, the soldier pulls back the bolt, changes the belt, and cycles the bolt

They also need to get rid of those karate chop mag changes because it looks ridiculous and it doesn’t even make sense; soldiers clearly keep their magazines and cycle back through them if they still have ammunition

Crowd of tryhards will ASSasinate you, because making reloads longer will slow their meatgrinder onebraincell gameplay

That style of reloading is mostly known for AKs due to the rock and latch magazine design where that doesn’t make sense on the AVT, FG42 II or MP43/1.

honestly they should just change the animation to something way slower, in order to make the gun less spammy, these days people dont hesitate running around, shooting and reloading, i think that a slower reload wont encourage them to do that as much.

agree it’s stupid thankfully they removed it in the StG44
