Bloom? who in the hell need this eyeball-destructive stuff?

the bloom in this game is too much. even the contrast settings cant protect from getting tired of too many lights! So why you producing games with bloom … this is eye-destructive and has to stop! so give us an option to remove the bloom. cause this is really bad for eyeballs! also you cant focus on enemies. please remove it finally!

I like it, it adds some realism when you are in interiors

At best it should be dialed back a bit because sometimes it behaves like the WT sun where you legitimately can’t see shit even at ground level looking a certain direction.

I think the main problem isn’t the bloom outside, it’s the insides being too dark when you enter.

Rushing inside the church at B in Ver Sur Mer feels like diving into an ink pit, it’s not so rare to literally bounce on enemies inside before even seeing them.

When I enter the street in the afternoon with the sun low ahead, it’s exactly the same as in game. (Edit: when I entered the street I realized uh, I ain’t see nothing just like in Enlisted. ) Also the fog in Fortified District, when it’s gone for half a minute, whoah I can see! I love it, it’s quite realistic and someone worked a lot on it make it so. (Just like the waves in Sea of Thieves - if nothing else, that one thing tells me there are some really good guys behind the game and a ton of work.)

Also I need to adjust the attack directions because of the lighting, and I’d be unhappy to have it gone. So regarding the post title - it’s me.

I’ve died a staggering amount of times because I looked down a street or alleyway and couldn’t see the dude lying down 20ft in front of me. Looks like im staring into a solar flare sometimes.

I dont like this bloom look weird and not realistic at all. Never something like that IRL. Its like you can’t use your lids and your pupils are full open. Its one things that lead me to stop playing this game. Maybe if they can just give us an option so everybodies is happy.

Ok, I agree there are cases when it’s too powerful. Eyes should adjust somewhat after a while.

Hmm, I don’t have much of an issue with bloom here. I hate bloom in other games but it isn’t much of an issue in this one. Probably because of my graphics settings, many of which are from medium to off. I don’t know which setting bloom might be hiding behind, but maybe try to fiddle around with them a bit.

After playing Berlin train station I must bloom is a little too high in the exteriors and turning it a little down would help in clarity of the game

Most probably it depends on which campaign/map you play. In Moscow I had not much problem with visibility except for Fortified District, but in that case I think it’s one of the most important elements of the map.

Overall I like it as it is, but can accept that not my average 20-30 kills is the reference for playtests.

But that’s also how it goes in real life on a bright ,sunny day. Also if defender stands by window he is easily seen, if he falls back he’s not so easy to see, that’s realism i love.

I agree that’s realistic, but I think that in game it’s a bit overly exaggerated, the difference between bright and dark areas should be toned down a bit. Entering a ground floor room with windows shouldn’t look like entering a dark cellar.

I quite changed my mind after playing train station in Berlin, the bloom effect in exteriors is too much and strains my eyes…

I should be toned down a bit to be more acceptable and more confortable for the eyes

This. Too much bloom from the start in some cases, just to be little annoying, but in Berlin it is horrible, where Germans fight all invasions into the Sun, after 2 invasions in a row, my eyes start melting…
Also looks like Normandy got a new dose of bloom, whereas it had just a little before, please remove it.

Please fix this or at least give us an option to turn/tone it down…
