Blocking to prevent melee attacks tactically

I recommend blocking as a feature to help counter frontal melee assaults, My hope is that the feature of blocking enemy attacks may, encouraging players to play more tactically and aim to fight a little less unrealistically while also achieving a more immersive and fun experience.

Rather Blocking to create tactical melee combat by securing a more reactive response to frontal assaults while promoting the use of sneak attacks.

On a serious tone, a melee attack almost always takes a millisecond, usually quietly from behind, when you just can’t react to recover. I think blocking would be an excessive thing.

I think this would be a cool idea. Most of the time I am looking at the guy that is trying to shank me. It would be nice to be able to block them and add something to melee combat. Someone is seriously going to stand there and let a dude cut them with a knife or stab them with a bayonet? Maybe give it an animation or something that makes the attacker have to wait a second or two to attack again.

I saw one response was to “bunny hop” but that is such a ridiculous, unrealistic, and cheezy way to avoid anything whether it is bullets or melee attacks.
