I suggest if you are “covered” you should be able to get in third person and unable to aim but can be able to shoot “blind” while you are covered

I don’t want to be able to go in 3rd person. However, it would be nice to be able to shoot around corners or throw a grenade around a corner, without exposing your body. This is a thing in Tarkov, GTA, and real life, of course. More games should have it and it would work great in a game like Enlisted.

I say let em.
They will be easier targets, giving away their position, missing you entirely and giving you plenty of time to align them in your sight.
I became adept at shooting hands. Seriously I take out so many snipers this way! (Too bad it mostly just put them in incapacitated state).

First off this isn’t Rainbow Six Vegas, second off how is that close to realistic or a fun mechanic?

You can already lean. Make use of that function more and you’ll be fine.
