Ther have been many aruments about how to do it and I have an original solution.
Take away the AP rounds. This would make it incapable of defeating any tank frontally at low br’s allowing it to be lowered to tier two.

The AP rounds should be changed to HEAT. Would change the entire play of the vehicle and weapon.

It needs balancing? If anything, it’s honestly a bit weird that it’s BR3 rather than 2 considering it’s got the same gun as the PzIII N/PzIV E/F1 with literally none of the advantages either tank provide, including a quarter of the PzIII N’s ammo. Sure, it’s a bit tempting(and effective because the KwK37’s 75mm round kills just as good in BR5 as it does in BR2) to use it as a sort of IFV or fire support APC of some sort, but it’s not like it throws its balance out of wack.
Besides, what’s wrong with it being able to defeat tanks? I’ve killed several with my bren carrier too.
Just double the reload speed and drop it down to t2.
Removing AP does actually seem like a good idea.
