IMO, the only premium squads worth buying are the Vehicle ones. I’ve made this mistake already. With the vehicle squads you get a unique/upgraded vehicle, and a good crew. With infantry squads, you get four soldiers (except the M44 rifle and Lebel squads for Berlin) and no ability to add more, plus using them boosts campaign experience while your standard squads fall behind for not being used. Just my $.02

All of them are worth, if you are grinding the campaign.
All of them gonna get out classes by free squads
All of them are fun and kinda unique to play.
Hopefully One day they will get more soldiers like free squads.
OP, get the ones on the campaign you trully play. You can always test them on practice mode first.

what is the mp18 squad like on Normandy i was considering buying it as it is very very cheap
Sorry for partial offtopic, but talking about battlepass vehicles, is the Su-85 in Berlin good? Or should I rather use a gold order on the T-34?
Imho T-34-85 no doubts.
Are their any standouts you would recommend? I have been wanting to pick up some just for fun and to support this game since I play it pretty much daily. I am max in Moscow/Normandy, and level ~20 both sides Berlin/Tunisia if that impacts your recommendation.
So far the two biggies I have seen are the Normandy BAR squads & the Berlin Sherman.
Sadly the turretless TD’s are not good in Berlin. They can be fun in customs on more open maps (the Jagdpz IV can be savage on say Quarry or in Tunisia), but in in Berlin you will spend most of your time trying to line up a shot and navigate all the rubble. Plus you cannot shoot and scoot so you are forced to wither the shells and hope they don’t get a pen. TD’s were meant for ambushing and the Berlin maps do not work great for that atm.
Maybe if they let TDs be a different slot than the tank, but T-34-85 >>>> SU-85.

Depends.
I like the Sherman in Berlin. Good gun, good armor and its M1919 is better than the DT mg.
Same goes for Moscow. The BA has its “weird” hitbox/ the Germans tend to hit your engine instead of the crew while having one additional crew member and the reliable 40mm gun. Only downside is its armor which could be a problem if you face Stukas. A T-50 for poors.
The Panzer 38t has a troll armor. The 40mm cannons have issues with it and the T-28 cant even pen it under normal circumstances.
The Gewehr 41 (M) squad is hands down one of the best.
Followed very very closely by the Label squad in Berlin (IMO).

29 premium squads so far, not bad.
ill probably only buy the ba-11 during the weekend just because, to use it at latter day.
in december or such, if they get the lattest tanks with some discounts, i ill probably get them.
also, a good ps here: all this premiums dont make me a better player, i still die and loose as everyone, none will give nothing extraordinary.
besides tank squads, everysingle one of them (imo) are still inferior to non premium variants.
imo, its a nice way to suport the game , but sadly they are way too inferior than what a f2p player can get.
what ever you choose, make sure you choose one , on a campaign you trully enjoy.
if you have the time i do to play and “enjoy” all the campaigns and have the needs to invest, why not one after another xD (joking)

Yeah I know what you mean. I finally made it in the moscow campaign to the first Pz III and all of a sudden I need 3 silver orders just to get a full crew. Around the same time I had unlocked the first soviet tank after the T-60 which is another silver order to fill that tank crew. The B-11 and Pz 38(t) were unfortunately “only” -30% discount but money well spend to get past these nightmare tanks.

I was wondering about that 9 man Volkssturm squad if it is any good or just 9 easy kills for the enemy. After all they just have ordinary rifles in an urban environment where SMGs are usually preferred and having many bots in your squad can drain the tickets of your team fast - or have I missed something since you list it as one of the strongly recommended squads.
Whats appealling about that squad to me is the 9 big backpacks and 27 medipacks - to give it to other squads lol

MOSCOW:
- Axis:
if you don’t want to grind, and loves pretty much airplanes:
BF 109 E-7 for 2125 enlisted gold
has 4 bombs of 50kg and it’s basically an already upgraded plane.
if you like a solid and already upgraded tank:
P38 (t) Squad.
comes already upgraded.
but, if you allow me, if you have alot of time, and just 10 bucks to spare,
go for the gold order battle pass PZ III J it might take a while, but it’s actually better and you will not struggle against later tank vehicles. plus, it has better armor than the P38t.
but if you have enough money, you can take both. ( you will use the P38t up until you will complete for half the BP and unlock the other tank ) it’s up to you
- Allies:
to be honest…
i can’t really see my self consider any of the discounted squads outside the BA 11 for the price.
the Ba 11 despite being an armored car has a good survivability and it’s basically a… car?
looks funky. but that’s it.
when it comes to fight enemies tanks, you can pretty much pen every tanks outside PZ III J and Es that will angle. from there, you will have to aim accurately for the turett.
NORMANDY:
- Axis:
i can only suggest the PZ III M squad. it’s really powerfull and if angled, almost nothing can pen it.
and the engy squad well, it’s usefull ( more or less ) and they have the paratrooper helmets.
( a plus if you will be able to move the prem cosmetic to normal squad. we don’t know that yet if it’s going to be a thing or not, but )
- Allies:
for the allies, i can only suggest the engineers for their weapons and look.
unique and somewhat effective.
but nothing else outside that.
( the m24 can be penned by everything, and lacks the fire power to compete with most of the tanks… and for much less, you will be able to buy the Sherman canadian from gold orders )
Berlin:
i’d say the panther.
but if you have money counted, just directly buy the other panther from the gold order ( this time, you will not have to grind the bp as it was an older season vehicle. meaning that older vehicle from battlepass you can buy them )
although, the premium panther has a faster turret traverse.
so it’s up to you and your wallet.
the others squad… are nothing better that you can normally grind and get.
- Allies:
if you want a strong tank, take the M4A2 76. it’s an evergreen tank that you can pretty much use everywhere ( even custom matches ) you will pretty much don’t even need to upgrade or reasearch any tank ( unless you like them of course ) from the later campaign levels.
whether the P63A it’s somewhat a decent airplane. problem is, has no bombs. so it’s up to you if you are a fighter or not. ( can still be used effectively for strifes. but only works when used in custom matches since majority of the maps on berlin are inside buildings :x )
Tunisia:
no matter what you pick, the current squads are somewhat ok and decent.
so yeah, that’s all. i hope it can help

II because they can build Mgs (and cost way more orders for level V).

Thanks for all the shared information. On a sidenote: I’m a bit surprised by the Moscow Panzer IV E. You would think an infantry support tank with the Stummelkanone to be an HE monster but I call myself lucky I testdrove it because… it has no HE. Just AP and HEAT which turns it into an anti-tank monster against everything except the T-50 and perhaps Valentine.
Then again the HE of the Pz38 is also nothing to write home about. But that truly was unexpected
I don’t know about tanks, but one of the reasons this thread is necessary is because, apparently, some premium squads MISS some of their main selling features in practice mode. In example, premium engineers only have the basic “stock” building menu there, without any weapon emplacement.
