I’m a little disappointed with the uniform and weapon choices with the M8 Greyhound premium squad, which is my only premium vehicle squad that I own for the US. In game they pretty much have the same options available to them as regular tanker squads, but in real life that was usually not the case…
I think this is because traditionally armored recon/calvary squads were considered light infantry and not tankers, even if they were part of an armored division, which a lot of them weren’t. So, my idea is that the devs should add the ability to equip just a regular M1 helmet model without a net, or the model with just the goggles, since I think it would add to immersion, since this is a paid premium squad, and I think it should have unique assets.
So, my second “gripe” if you want to call it that is that submachine guns and pistols, were not all that common in greyhounds in WW2. All of the original references that I could find, say that m1 Carbines were issued in them. In fact, the Greyhound had racks below the turret, specifically for M1 Carbines. So I think that it would be really cool if we had that option. So far the closest thing we can use in game is either the m2a1 Carbine, or the battle pass “short Garand” I forgot the exact name.
Another Small gripe that I currently have with this vehicle, is that both the commander and the gunner seats have the option to “change the view” but only the commander seat has access to the top mounted .50 MG. Being able the use a personal weapon when leaning out of the turret as either the commander or the gunner would be nice too.
And of course I have to mention, PLEASE, get rid of the permanent “Pacific Palm Leaves” on the sides of the vehicle. Those should have been gone the day the campaigns were merged.
