Better Trenches?

My mixed engineer battalion is very handy to have. I’m getting into trench building more but i think there could be further upgrades done to trenches such as wooden walls and floors for stability.

I dont think df will make that as you say cuz we have that on a Various maps such as hürtgen wald and a few more but im with you and if we have that feature then a engineer needs more supplys and somebody must do supply runs (or you) or if we can have a commander system then the engineer need to do a supply request to the commander.

Just give the engineer squad a resupply truck, you cant respawn on it, but vehicle and engineers can resupply at it.

Maybe limit it so it has to be 100m away from the objective.

As for the suggestion itself, Id rather a more controllable trench digging system or at least longer matches to justify all the time you spend digging, like let me mark out a rectangle I want to dig, and all the AI in my squad with shovels will help dig it.

That or allow a vanilla mode for longer matches to justify the very slow digging process.

Currently the best use I get out of digging is for entrench rally points, though it will never not be funny to dig anti tank ditches.

Better trenches are good, although my BOTs are to stupid to use the existing ones, so I don’t know how much they will help. :thinking: :rofl:

They just need to improve the navmesh. Some of the trenches from the Ardennes maps are set up in a way to where the bot knows where to stand and shoot from, bot with a Kreigsmodell got 12 kills on his own once in one of my mods. And thr mod doesn’t buff him, in fact, I made the aiming speed slower and reload speed slower.
