Currently, it is impossible to freely choose what Perks you want to use on your soldiers. Instead, you get a randomly rolled choice out of 3 for each Perk slot, which means that there is very, very limited control on what you can give your soldiers. I personally think that it would be better to just be able to pick whatever perks we may like from the list of available perks to better specialize our soldiers.
Once you max out your soldier you can re-roll perks to get the ones you want. Keep in mind that you have very limited perk points on lower level soldiers, meaning most perks are not available to begin with.
That said I very much dislike the perk system in its entirety, but at least this side of it is somewhat done alright.

No, I literally can’t. You still only get 3 randomized options, which means that you may never actually get the perks you want. I purchased both CBT packs, and haven’t assigned perks to the russians yet to test this. For the first perk choice, 2 of them get 15% increased sprint speed out of the 3 possibilities, while the others don’t have that as a choice.
True. But if you level up the soldier you get more tries, though, and you still get to keep a perk, so it isnt as bad as the random chance of failing gun upgrades.
I think I got like 50 perk reroll points on my prem squad by now, if not more, for example.
You’ll still burn through them if you ever want to get the perks you’d actually like to use rather quickly. Not to mention that people who are new to the game and don’t have the premium groops will have a very, very hard time here. It should just be total player choice, as this is a mechanic that determines everything.
Well if you have enough perk slots to fit the perk it should definitely come around. Double check whether you got the capacity as one rank 4 soldier might have diffrent capacity compared to another rank 4.
All Rank 5 soldiers from the premium groops have the same capacities as each other. I already checked this up, and you can do so too. And if you want 5 specific perks in your five slots -as I imagine many people do- it will be almost impossible to get that.
It’s 9/15/11 for their capacity btw. Both squads have that.
