Anyone suggesting harsher punishment for desertion should play a shitty one sided stomp match, being at the receiving end of the stomp and a shitty map.
Or straight up calling the team re****s then quit the match. Don’t care about ruining others fun because of bullshit game mechanics.

I will leave every match with two plane tryhards that spam bombs and rockets against the infantry and tanks constantly, with current extremely weak state of AA guns you can’t destroy them more than few times a match (and they can easily turn back and kill you with no effort), and at same time game will reward you with be super low score because most of the time they will bail out out of the plane before you will destroy their plane. Against Bomber ai it’s even worse just destroying more than one plane is a huge feat and then 1sec later you will die because you are in their bombing radius. It’s not fun to play against almost unkillable flying rat aholes it’s simple as that. I would rather fight against waves of KV-1 at least at some point he will get bored and drive around map and that’s the moment where you could destroy him with tnt or a tank/at gun. Post merge we will get new toys from other campaigns to fight T-34 and KV-1 spam but against planes? We will get nothing new same barely usable crap that got nerfed to the ground, at least Germany will get their Luftfausts at mid or high tier but what about Soviets and US? Nothing.

Just target the bomber bombing your sector first?
You do get the kill of the plane when the pilot ditches the plane and if he then suicides you get points for that aswell.
AA does work in most of the campains in my experiance so it isnt the problem of the AA itself but the bugged damage models of some planes beeing way to tanky.
Got it! Harass the player above me into quitting so I can get his score. Easy!

why are people still calling for penalty for desertion? Reason why people desert is because of game design.
- not mamy peoplr want tobplsy train. and I personally hate Stalingrad tractors plant and the river crossing in berlin. So I will absolutely desert these games.
- when you face a 1v8 situation it is very noble for you to keep playing and get fucked by the 8on other side. But dont expect others want to do the same.

Dude if I see my team doing absolutely nothing to help the team and only me carrying their 4sses, capping alone and the battle become upgill battle the more I play
At that point I don’t really give a shite about the ammount of Exp I gonna lose or care abou my team, I dip because is a waste of time
