With the recent surge of Axis players in Berlin because of the addition of the Tiger, mid-high level Axis players have been increasingly more common and since Seelow Heights was added that allowed more usage of tanks, Panthers are becoming more common to encounter sure there was panzerfaust 100 but I want to ask what’s the best way to shoot Panthers on front with the T-34-85 instead of just relying on panzerfaust and TNT?
I have a Panther in Normandy myself so I know what’s bad about the panther like the 4 km/h reverse speed like the T-64/T-72 family in War Thunder.
they are quite easy to pen with any russian tank,
if you are facing them frontally,
shoot here:
the turret you will most likely pen it. regarding the yellow area, you can technically pen it, but depending the angle ( especially on seelow heights since most of them are " bouncy " and " angled ) you might not pen it. while you can never go wrong in the lower part of the turett.
if you want to kill the gunner at the first shoot, always shoot at the left part of the turett ( your right so to speak when facing them ) above the driver view port.
and if you are one the side:
shoot the angled plate. even if the panther is angled, you will go through no matter what. and that’s where the ammo are stored:

Trying to find the sweet spot of the turret cheeks at practice and looks like its the one below the gunner’s optics that damages the breech and the horizontal turret traverse ring. Trying to shoot at various angles at the front like uphills is limited by the gun depression and shooting the cheeks can be tricky. There was one time on the train station that I shot a Panther’s cheeks on the loader side and luckily the entire tank exploded. I just need to figure out where is the best spot to shoot and not sure if that is the sweet spot.
well.
as i own a panther, and several shermans,
those spots never let me down.
but sure, if you can find better spots, be our guest.
I am surprised you dont know this exactly Tony. You are playing since OBT.
Anyways the most effective way is to shoot the turret cheecks
Then flank around it. Another thing keep moving, t34 is a very mobile tank which is good.
The ball machine gun is also an Option.
And the bottom, where the transmission is. Shoot there and then flank
And the Commanders hatch. Probably you will kill the gunner commander and loader.
This was with T34-85 Zis- S-53 gun. But the D5T is just as good at these weak spots

Seelow highest maybe hard map for t34(long distance)
But in all Berlin maps no any problem to penetrate in turret.
I wasn’t driving tanks in Enlisted much as USSR since more on infantry plus Berlin’s map design limitations prior to the introduction of Seelow Heights but penetration mechanics on this game is pretty much different compared to War Thunder despite I killed more Panthers with IS-2 there.
I have the gold T-34-85 so movement is a bit smoother compared to an non-upgraded one.
