I don’t think you killed him, killfeed said it was a Stuka. He must have died/crashed at the exact same time.

I have these plane kills (mostly just easy kill steals): BAR, Beretta M1, Carcano M41, Carcano sniper, Gewehr 41, Grant tank, M1 Garand, M8 rocket, MG-131, Sten mk11 (s), Thompson m1928a1 and ZB-26.
Still want to do pistol and flamethrower…grenade/det pack also.
My best plane kills score in one battle is 20 (bombers and fighters).
But my best plane kill is this one.
All credits go to the tailgunner of my Stuka.
He took out a Hurricane at the exact moment I bombed a tank into oblivion.
It was not a plane that was damaged before and crashed later.
No, he was on my 6 while I attacked the tank, trying to down me.
So the kills were truely simultaneous.
Now that’s what I call teamwork!
It was mostly stukas and bf410s because they fly low when bombing but no they didn’t crash not in my perspective.
The first plane got ripped in half from my SMG burst lol
The second got set on fire and died shortly afterwards
The third one was trying to bomb me so I pilot sniped him
But yeah, bullet physics are a weird thing in this game
I have no problem at all to take out planes with my MG:s. It’s quite common.
A lot of lucky shoots with my bolties as well ofc.
But with a SMG … I think most of the cases are like you describe it - easy credit.
However I remember when I sprayed a low and slow flying plane with my laser beam Soumi for about 20 sec.
To my suprise it actually worked in the end.
Another one I liked was getting shot down but respawning and quickly building AA gun for instant revenge.
Sure, I just rewatched it it’s very weird frag seems like the dude was hit by the bomb just a second before he crashed or was killed by the splash. I can provide you screenshots and a replay.
P.S I am not really good at this game so don’t expect a lot of interesting there.

Enemy shoots his rockets and dives into the tree.
You get the kill.
I dont see any bomb hitting the enemy and I dont see any splash from any bomb either.
The enemy flew underneath your bombers before he crashed so perhaps your bomb scratched him (I dont see that) and you got the kill because of that.
Anyway, you got a plane kill with an air raid bomb, that deserves a medal.

Hmm you can see the splash and pilot death before plane actually hit the tree. Look at the wing it didnt touch the tree while he was already dead. Looks like a splash from the bomb on land to me. That is also visible on a screenshot i have sent to you
I destroyed an enemy plane with an air raid I called in. The bombers didn’t get him, the explosions from the bombs got him.
