Berlin - W/ L rate for axis

Hi, as much as I love Berlin, the new maps too, the loss rate for Germans who I am currently playing to try and help is crazy!

Please look at invasion first caps on some maps for soviets, you literally spawn and they have first point.

Not sure what else can be done, but it is very one sided currently. It doesn’t help German players don’t seem to put ammo points, deployable down (maybe as one grenade even if behind sandbags kills you!?!), but now we have the pop I can clearly see imbalances, which were not easily recognisable in CBT for Berlin.

Train station conquest map is basically an auto-loss for axis. Everything is inside and soviets completely outclass axis in CQB gameplay. Axis cannot use vehicles or Bombers to somewhat counter inf. It’s horrible.

Seems like the issue is that nobody wants to play Axis there.

The map that starts on the bridge is most disbalanced in terms of first point cap. Soviet 85mm HE just gives no chance of defending it. It annihilates everything on that bridge.

I keep telling people

“hurr hurr axis mains are all retards”

They are mostly bots, anytime axis gets enough players they have a definite chance of winning

for me, soviets win more but it’s not huge.

Anytime I instantly join a match (german players are needed) we usually lose

And anytime it takes awhile to find me a match (german players arent needed) we usually win.

Berlin DOES need balancing passes. PPD40DFZ is broken as fuck in how powerful it is, among other thing.

During Berlin CBT the Soviets won easily 80% of the games. They win about 60% now

I have to agree with you on the idea that less people play axis. I’m also compiling a table since OBT Launch for Berlin. Here’s some preliminary stuff without going into a full breakdown:

I only random queue. So many more people select to only play allies than only play axis. This naturally gives the allies an advantage since those players will be farther along in the campaign than those who play both sides, who make up much more of the axis team. Add to the fact that the mp3008 is worse than the pps42 and smgs are the most powerful class for the first 7 or so levels. We can easily see why the Germans are losing.

Invasion
The Offensive Team Respawn Time is 5 Secs
The Defensive Team Respawn Time is 10 Secs

Russia Win Rate 70-90% on low levels
Germany Win Rate 15%

The Defensive Team of Both Fronts is 20% Defending Win

Captures Points 0% to a 100% is 30Secs for 1 person

Germany running to the point from the Spawn Point is 20Secs or longer dependent on Spawn Point Locations

Most people forget about Rally Points or don’t have any engineers and 20meters is too large for Berlin against enemy proximity near Rally Point

I only play axis and love it cause I like the different maps with all the hiding places … (would be the same for allies of course too) but now it seems the planes are showing up and its becoming Normandy - anyway I something as simple as not having the move to next point show up so soon or something because often I am near the current defend point and in a good position and if I move out of it I will get annihilated but the point gets taken enemy is still coming and I am shooting them but then the map is saying to move back. So I think if this order did not pop up for awhile this would help ??

I’m playing US west coast times/servers and Axis in Berlin have a 40% WR

While people disagree on how to balance or whatever ,I’ve noticed across the board people keep coming up with the same troop. Soviets win a majority of the time.

In my experience Berlin battles at least in invasion mode are decided the same way as in Normandy. 2 keys for a win regardless of defending or attacking. SPAWNBEACONS and FLANKING. The latter is especially important for attackers.The guns dont matter as long as nobody is building sensible beacons. I had so may games that nobody else was building beacons except from me. Most of the were loses. On the contrary when there were 1-2 people + me building beacons the games were just easy. Yeah Soviets have advantages as attackers and in SMGs but as long as nobody were building even one beacon in a good place they couldnt even capture the 1st or 2nd cap in various games. Defense was so easy. The same was the case for Normandy which i played exclusively when the game came in OBT

my WR in Berlin for soviets is about the same as tony’s 80%

I am not counting my WRs my mine as germans isnt much lower than 40%. I am not saying than mine is the rule or yours is the exception, but we cannot know the actual WRs since we dont have the actual data from all players. And i wouldnt mind actually buffing Germans in Berlin since in general defenders have a difficult task especially how caping is working in Enlisted now, which i think is kinda bullshit. Especially since you cannot reset a cap progress as a defender

I think invasion could get a lot of reworks in general, there’s definitely room for improvement.

W/Rs definitely vary by timezone and stuff like that. excited to see the next set of yearly analytics the devs publish.

My WR is 37.5%

Most of the time it´s a question of how hard are the germans losing. And honestly I don´t really care if I lose when I get like 90 kills per game. The moment you get a competent team your changes of winning increase dramatically from my experience
