Berlin New Tanks Addition Makes no Sense

The New Tank Destroyers are worst than the ones unlocked Earlier. There’s no reason to swap to the new one, especially if we have to choose between the Panther and the Panzer IV/70

Warthunder Rating
Panther G- 6.0
T-34-85 Zis - 5.7

JP IV has a BD 4.7.
SU-85M has a BD 5.3.

Suggestions
Make the New Tank Destroyers a New Squad. So we can both use Panther as well as the new Tank.

Or
Swap The Tanks Unlocked Level, EG Panther being Late in Campaign instead of the IV

Or
Replace them with Jagdpanther and SU-100

This. Or Replace them with Brummbar and ISU-152, as an additional option that would make more sense, but yeah.

Like you said, as is they’ll be pointless in-game. I really don’t know what the devs were thinking on this one at all.

Yep, these tanks are pretty lame. SU-100 vs Jagdpanther or ISU vs Brummbar would be great addition.

They don’t have to be better tbh
Just adjust the XP for that level accordingly

Variety is nice imo

I am surprised they did not make TDs a second squad. In Moscow campaign light and medium tanks are two separate squads and T-50 belongs to first squad even if it appears later than T-28.

As much as I hate squad system with 2nd and 3rd tiers, in this case having separate medium tanks and TD squads would be logical, no mater what chronologically appears first.

agree, it doesnt need to be “better” at all, diversity is always welcome!

Both the tank destroyers have much better front armour than the 2 tanks do.

other than that… yeah - not exciting and the ISU-152/Brumbar would have been a definite high interest change!!

hm are the ISU- 152 and the Brumbär even combarable?

maybe could have even added SU 122 and StuH 42

They both have 150mm-ish cannon and heavy-ish front armour - 90mm for the ISU, 100mm for the Brumbar - ISU has better side armour, Brumbar reloads a couple of seconds faster.

dunno why the Su-122 (I presume you mean the T-34 based one with the 122mm howitzer?) and the StuH42 with a 105 would be considered more comparable?

The ISU-152 and Brumbar are rather comperable, and they’re more comparable than the SU-122 and StuH 42. They’re also more correct chronologically for Berlin; given both the Stuh-42 and SU-122 ceased production in 1943; and the ISU-152 and Brumbar are more competitive vs the tanks already available in game should they fight such.
