Just had my first game BR2 Berlin (due playing the event) - it’s just fucking stupid
Ive enjoyed my BR1 berlin games, the lebel squad fits right in too.
Ngl I just like the berlin maps, especially at BR1 where HE spam isnt bad.
My low BR Berlin experience has been incredible too:
I can’t get enough of flying biplanes over Reichstag, what an amazing idea by the devs
You are using KOKO? I thought you hated prototypes
Ah yes that was an unfortunate new squad building “equip best BR2” mistake.
It has since been removed I believe
I almost thought it was actually used.
No, of course not.
It’s a 1920s prototype which didn’t go beyond trials, the first semi-autos adopted by the Red Army were AVS and SVT.
I understand that some people don’t give a rotund rodent’s rectum about history.
I do, and I would much prefer the fantasy be kept to Warhammer and D&D.

I think the first semi auto that was actually adpoted was the Degtyarev SVD-30, which even saw combat against the Japanese at the Battle of Lake Khasan.
It would have made a lot more sense to add it into the tech tree instead of the Fedorov 1912.

As far as I am aware SVD-30 was not adopted.
It was one of several SLR projects by various designers which were tested and trialed in late 20s and 30s in the USSR.
But the first ever Soviet SLR officially adopted to service and mass production was AVS-36.

Federov Avtomat in 1918 - it was adopted by the Red army at formation and produced until 1925.
Federov Avtomat in 1918 - it was adopted by the Red army
True, but it was classified as “Avtomat” and chambered for the “intermediate” Arisaka cartridge.
The first rifle cartridge semi-auto rifle, or ehat you’d call a battle rifle, adopted, and mass produced was the AVS 36.
The term “intermediate cartridge” is modern and not relevant to the time. And also not true - perhaps “lower powered rifle cartridge” would be more reasonable - but stil not accurate at the time - At hte time it was a full battle rifle cartridge.
I think it’s great that there are people who are committed to ensuring that the unrealism does not become excessive
but I love Berlin and love playing BR3 there
Deserter is fine, but does this radical imposition have to be in the forum?
Being radical is never good… radical left radical right… radical is shit
I think all this HA crap has been preventing Enlisted from growing since the beginning.
9mm does 5.3 damage, 7.35 does 25.1 damage. All of this keeps us from achieving a good balance. Webley Revolver does 5.6 damage. I hope you get what I’m getting at.
…yes my favorite solution would be 1 shot 1 kill or a maximum of 2 no matter what caliber.
You have a PVE mode on PC, why don’t you radical HA lovers play there?
Fedorov Avtomat was used as a machine gun, its production stopped when DP-27 entered service.
You have a PVE mode on PC,
Where? You mean custom matches? Due to the devs not keeping their promises we still have no equipment filters. Playing ha in custom matches is useless when some random guy with as 44 will eventually join
Fedorov Avtomat was used as a machine gun, its production stopped when DP-27 entered service.
rubbish - production was stopped in 1925 when the USSR decided to not use any “foreign” calibres. Until then the Red Army was very happy with it in its assigned role as an automatic rifle.
Service trials of the DP-27 didn’t start until 1927, and it entered service in 1928.
Before then hte Soviets had used a range of “left over” WW1 weapons - Russia had been going to produce Madsens but the Danish advisors left the country in 1917 taking most of the drawings and equipment with them.
So the Soviets were left with remaining Madsens and the various “light” Maxims, leading to trying the Federov-Maxim - but it had departed so far from the basic Maxim design that commonality was lost and it proved too complicated, plus of course it was too heavy.
There is no evidence at all that the Avtomat was used as a manchine gun - there are a few pictures showing 1 of 2 soldiers equipped with it, but that means nothing more than it was not uiversally issues - which is hardlk surprising gived only 3500 were made.
production was stopped in 1925
And the machine gun contest was held in 1926, won by the prototype of DP27.
There is no evidence at all that the Avtomat was used as a manchine gun
Because its actually an “automatic rifle” the same role as BAR 1918 and Chauchat, not an actual light machine gun or even any traditional machine gun design.
Still doesnt change the fact that its a fire support weapon, a role usually filled by machine guns.
The term “intermediate cartridge” is modern and not relevant to the time
That’s why I put it as “intermediate”.
My point is that the first true SLR which was adopted to service, mass produced and issued to troops was AVS 36.

Due to the devs not keeping their promises we still have no equipment filters
Oh thats indeed sad, but as always ^^
be on the Bright Side of Life atleast you have Custom Maps ^^
