Just what title states, we need map veto, specifically to not play that despised game mode.
On the day that armoured train was released, Berlin went from best campaign to 50/50 of deserting train and actually playing the campaing.
And even when they tried to help, and split this shitty too long game mode in two, it just made it twice as likely to appear in map rotation.
We needed veto year ago, kahif cave village confrontation with 200m distance between points that makes 5h games and airstrike of one team crashes into mountains before they drop bombs, swamp conquest on Normandy was so bad it was yeeted by devs, 2 attack points assaults that are free win for defenders with brain, Pacific destruction map that has easiest to defend islands with no way to put rally as attackers close, list goes on.
Want to fix desertion? No one gives a fuck about yellow icons.

You can add Tenaru River invasionto that list. Absolutley horrible for attackers (that second point). Same with Gavutu Island destructuon as you mentioned.
Kahif Cave village confrontation and Train Escort got to be the worst thing ever implemented in this game indeed.
The train lagging and bots are more lost than ever. Rally points make no sense. You have no idea when they are gonna get destroyed being to close to the objective.
If they want to keep it a huge overhaul is needed
That’s right. The train map in Berlin is just a view similar to the Normandy map. Besides, it’s not fun. It’s very stressful for users like me who want to play in the city.
In fact, the developers had to give users a map filter function in the first place. this game doesn’t even have a lobby chat.What you want will probably come out in ten years.
yes, this dongsucking map needs to go to hell. gaijin doesnt understand how many new players it possibly chased away after they were forced to play it. my record is deserting it SIX TIMES IN A ROW and just switching over to another campaign. darkflow doesnt even understand that you need to code the mapfinding mechanism in a way that it doesnt repeat maps that hard.

They certainly invested some resources and devotion in this train escort mission and now they’re probably too proud to remove it.
But what I don’t understand is why the hell Kahif Villiage Confrontation is still in rotation. So many complaints, topics, and issues reported around this accident.
Take it out of rotation and fix it/remove it. Should have been done in the first couple of weeks.
I suppose this map mostly sucks for infantry lovers, same as whole Tunisia campaign. Playing on team who doesn’t build rallies could be especially annoying on Train map as you have to run 200 meters. But building rallies is important even if they are destroyed, usually 4-5 build is enough for whole game but saves time on running so much. But overall Armored train is my favorite mode. Team who use tanks, planes and rally points wins.
About veto option: would be cool to have that, better than bunch of deserters and spoiled game for people who want to play. Only obstacle is small player base and risk of full bot matches. So maybe option to put veto on 1 map in each campaign would be cool enough.
Agree with OP. Train map is the worst in the game. There are some other dung heaps (and winners) but this one? It stands out by wide margin. It’s almost never fun, almost always takes a long time and seems to come up in rotation WAY too often. By my estimation, most human players bail immediately. Kahif Cave Village had (and may have) potential but it’s a hot mess right now. On confrontation it’s a complete buzzkill. I doubt it will ever be worth keeping unless there are more experienced human players and/or AI pathfinding is significantly improved. I usually bail when either Train Escort or Kahif Caves come up… I just don’t have time to spend on gaming that isn’t fun.
The only way I find enjoyment on this mode is to be in a tank but the problem is I have to fight other players for the slot since even noobs love to take the tank slot alot. Would veto moat east though as I hate that map.
Idk, maybe 1-2 real players usually are on train, rest are bots, I clear them out easily and also enemies around train and keep train going/standing. Main thing is to have rally point nearby to keep constant flow of teammates coming to train.
In one of my latest fun matches i took PzIV turrent in front and lasted almost until last checkpoint, destroyed three or four t-34’s along the way. Yes,enemies were braindead or mostly bots that time but still fun. 50 kills or something ,0 deaths. Train didn’t stopped whole match.
