One of thing that kills the immersiveness of game is when someone of your team call arty. I don’t know since when it was, but friendly arty doesn’t do damage unless it directly hit on top of your head. It feels i become some sort of Hollywood main caracter who never die.
It seems the game become more and more less tactic and brainless shooting game. You just throw arty wherever you want without thinking where my team is. Please bring back Arty friendly damage, not for intendly teamkill, but for the sake of immersiveness.
yeah players in this game arent the smartest kind. so no, i dont want a moron throwing friendly artillery over my head. i can live with the protection, thanks. if it bothers you too much you can play lone fighters or custom matches.
I prefer it to not do friendly fire. I don’t want to get kicked from a game because I called a strike past the objective, while no friendlies are there, and then everyone decides it’s their moment to rush forward and push the attackers back
I think that the sanction should not be to expel the player, perhaps the sanction should be to restrict the use of their artillery for a longer time, also if in case someone sends artillery on the position where your allies are, a message should come out telling them warn that an artillery attack is coming on your position.
If they implement a warning, that’d help, but the bots wouldn’t listen. I dunno, it’s tricky. Plus one of my favorite tactics with artillery is calling it in the exact spot the enemy’s artillery is because they all think it’s friendly and rush in lol
before when the first artillery hit fell, the bots left the area where the artillery would fall, maybe if they re-implement that function we would avoid friendly fire
I wasn’t here back then but if that worked, I’d be alright with the change. I just hate getting penalized for other people being dopes when I go out of my way to be considerate of teammates
I don’t know if friendly explosions should kill; instead I think they should have the full concussive effect with reduced aim. There needs to be some concequences to using explosive ordinance danger-close to allies
However, as long as grey zone will keep putting players in situation, where using artillery will always hit your own positions, there will be either a lot of accidental casualties, or one side will be unable to use artillery at all (I mean… there is still some sort of little oportunity).
