Being able to remove blockages, wrecks

Are you tired of the random wreckages and roadblocks?, or maybe the match is decided because of that one tanker who got sniped right at the start, preventing the vehicles to move forward?
Here is the solution!

Hold J to destroy object

We really should be able to remove props and tank wrecks from the map just by simply destroying them with the magical letter “J” just like we destroy Buildings of the Engineers.

Not sure how easy that would be under fire in Berlin for example, I think 3-4 Tank shots should destroy wrecks.

Would not be a problem if we had larger maps

No, I’ll just copy and paste what I said in the last thread on this topic. No, I don’t want to be able to remove, destroy, or delete vehicle wrecks, that’s silly. (Even like you said, “magical”. It is silly and unrealistic.) There might be other ways to fix this, but I really don’t see it as an issue. The heaps of destroyed vehicles blocking up roads is cool and accurate.
If you want to move wrecks, push them out of the way like what was done in real life, or add a tow cable.

I think you should be able to apply detonation packs on wrecks to blow them up. The way they are currently used to blockade entrances is total bs.

Applies to aa guns as well.

Give engineers or AT guys (or any other apropriet class) a demolition charge that can blow up wrecks. Or even use TNT from stalingrad for that purpose. (That may be a better idea.)

Then we could also talk about realistic ways of destroying tanks, especially as inf.

Now that`s a good idea :grinning:

I do think wrecked vehicles play a part in this game, like others have said, they were there in real life. What I find annoying is, sometimes when you spawn in a tank you can`t move forward at all, due to all the wrecks in the way :upside_down_face: Surely from the tanks spawn point you should at least be able to enter the map :grinning:

Having thought about this subject, and should something like this be implemented, I think it should be the tanker that should be able to have some tnt to be able to blow up obstacles in its path. The game trade off to this would be that he would be the one that would lose battle time in doing so. Lets face it, giving this options to engineers would be a waste of time, due to no one communicating in the game. Just a thought :grinning:

I’d argue that there is no realistic way to make a tank disappear, especially in WWII in the middle of such intense fighting we see.

That was the best answer?

Yes, realism is so important in this game. Now please excuse me while i materialize two fucking aa guns out of literal thin air.

Don’t talk to me like that, I won’t have it. My answer is completely logical, I shouldn’t have even responded to you in the first place. I’m not here to play games like “is that the best answer u got”.

Realism is very important to this game, I am always pushing for the game to be more realistic and as realistic as possible. And nobody was talking about AA guns, they are totally different from tanks. I wasn’t defending how they are “materialized” either. But, builders in the game do have a limited amount of supply, so it isn’t completely out of nowhere. And I could much easier imagine members of the squad carrying individual pieces of the gun to put together, I can imagine that much easier then dismantling an entire tank in the middle of a battlefield.

Wouldnt have changed anything.
You didnt answer anything regarding double standards of realistic way of removing wrecks while you dont give a crap about the fact that turning tanks into wrecks isnt really realistic in this game either .

So yeah. Pls dont say anything next time. Would be a bless for all of us.
