Been researching WW2 magazines lately, and there are very interesting balance options that people are not realizing

we all know that Thompsons had 20 round magazines that if added could bring them BR2 worthy, a perfect option for people wanting to play MP40 vs Thompson.

But did you guys know there were 10 rounder FG 42 mags?
and even 5 rounder AVS 36 mags?

there are options that could bring some of those rifles down a BR - or even maybe two BRs who knows.

I bet there are many more interesting magazine examples that could make for some interesting BR placement twists.

But… do we really need those weapons on lower br to club even harder?

I’d argue, the tommy 20 rounds, sure.

But fg or avt… nah.

After all, we have already semis in be 3 ( and very few exceptions at be 2 ) etc.

I would like to argue that there are alot of semis that are sitting undeserved in BR 4. Which is why we maybe should be looking to move some of those into BR 3, and then put some BR 5 weapons that perform worse than their max level counterparts ( speaking about MKB vs STG) into BR 4.

Personally a AVS with only 5 rounds sounds very funny in BR3.

No, terrible solution.

We need to make BR4 valid. Not move everything that’s not meta at BR5 straight to BR3.

Yeah, farming BR1 with AVS and FG is really funny, haha. No.

Also BR3 should never meet BR1 to begin with.

Making the mag smaller doesn’t reduce the effectiveness of the gun. Only the frequency of reloads

Edit: Just look at the BAR fighting MG 34/42’s. That 20 rounder don’t stop it from stacking bodies

The zh-29 could use the same 20rnd magazines as the zb-26, it might make for an interesting gold order weapon

thats because 20 rounds of “okay deviation” beat 50 rounds “terrible deviation”
also the Bar reloads quick enough to not make it a problem.

when you are reloading you are not fighting - it absolutely matters.

Could be an interesting “attachment” system replacement, only able to equip IRL mods like magazine size/sight apertures etc.

Maybe as event/gold order.
BR3 is the lowest I would let these go and even then I would like them to be restricted 1 gun per faction.

Thompson 30cal is already 20 round and is perfectly reasonable on BR3, but why would anyone pick a 20 round tommy over the 30 round gun?

thats actually the best way to balance weapons, instead of fucking up their sights, or their raw stats like dmg or recoil, lets pray that Darkflow tries this out

also Fg 42 could have those 10 round mags and still be good, but I dont really think that I would enjoy it since darkflow added a lot of 100 round mag to new weapons, even 50 is a lot, gah dayum
