If I need money I just sell another of my initialy 100 assaulter 4 I got in preparation and I get the same amount of money each as for an entire squad. XD

And? I don’t need 1000000 sniper squads for each faction. There are more sniper squads than there are unique sniper rifles. What, im gonna have 3 sniper squads all outfitted with G43 snipers? No. I have a sniper squad for each sniper rifle that exists in game, nothing more.

That is not the point. The point is that each squad has its own unique division and regiment. They are not all copy and paste names, each has it’s own backstory and had it’s own role in whatever battle took place.
But do what you want, it is your account after all…
I ended up having 600k silver selling almost every squad as an ally. The reserve space is more than ok since you have more squads now as well, eg. Assaulter I, II, III, etc. I now plan to start playing as germans, since now i dont have a silver issue anymore, and can upgrade almost everything, since i had tier 5 full, and tier 2 full weapons already. Great Christmas gift from gaijin, i was struggling to get silver. The most problems mentioned in the first post like uniforms, are easily solved because you have more than 1 assaulter squad, riflemen squad, mg, etc. there is no real reason to keep the squad, except their name and their logo.
Does selling squad reduce your reserve though?
In a sense, yes.
Because you can store guys in unused squads.
Oh boy! Yes, that’s a Christmas “gift” from the snail all right! Those squads could realistically be worth 100k each! 10k is, quite frankly, such a waste. If you believe you have enough with 600k to upgrade everything…

as of post-merge, selling gold weapons is no longer possible I don’t think since I don’t have an option
The same happened to me, with a squad which I had on my active roster. Last time I was fiddling around with this functionality!

I’m going to point out that not every player had Assaulter IV’s lined up or even unlocked to get this 10 mil starting cash. For some players 100k in coins is a ton of silver. For some people it makes sense to sell.
You don’t get it.
“IF” those were sold for 100k, perhaps.
But for 10k only? It’s such a scam It’s a wonder ppl sell them willingly.
Would you sell your house for a tenth of it’s value for a quick easy cash flow?
You can make 10k in what, 3-4 battles (with premium)?
Those squads, you cannot obtain them anymore. They are invaluable. Priceless. For all the reasons above.

I sold less than 30 squads and made 600k because I sold the reserve soldiers inside. And for people who have, quite literally, no want for money, there is no incentive to sell for anything less than a massive. You’re assuming everyone has the same assigned value as you.
I sold my soldiers which I bought pre merge for at least 3mil.
And not even all of them. I am still hoarding couple of italian assaulters III and engineers I.
600k really isn’t significant amount. 20 fully upgraded rifles type hei were priced on at least 200k+

My point is you HAVE those soldiers to sell. I didn’t (and still don’t) even have a rifleman 2 pre-merge.
But, you had legacy squads… they were worth so, sooo much more.
Devs should have given you 100k per squad MINIMUM.
Those 10k per squad? You should merely grind them by fighting normally.
Anyway. It’s your choice, even if unsound.

Yeah, it’s your decision to make. It’s not like I am accusing you of anything not blaming you. But it’s definitely not worth in long run.
But I still hope they’ll introduced option to buy legacy squads back. Even fore new players once they reach some mileston.
That would best solution and most fair solution.
(WoT for example, is selling legacy tanks trough this manner)
Current option to sell legacy squad is one big bait, primarily made only for sole reason of damage controlling bad UI that wasn’t ready for so many squads.
I still have 2 of them because I like my Normandy assault squad. But idk about my German/italian squads, the 3 Soviet squads I had or most of my allied squads that just made doing anything with my lineups or upgrades a chore.
I’m guilty of selling 3 squads, but only because I don’t need 10 sniper squads.
IMHO, it’s worthwhile to keep:
- 5 squads of each class, so you can do a build for every BR
- any special squad, like engineers from Stalingrad who can build the Ampulomet
- any sniper squad that can receive MG’s
having 20 infantry squads that are just copy paste is not really worthwhile for me. Then, I only have like 20 pre-merge squads accross all factions.
