Again I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong. I am, in fact, keeping the main squad I care about. But this comes down to a pretty simple economic principle. Do I value these squads more than I value the money I get from selling them and then selling the soldiers within them? I mean not really, but I absolutely see why you would. If I had ground all the way to top tier in 6 campaigns and 12 factions I think I would have an incredibly hard time letting them go.
End of the day I’m happy to have some good cash on hand and I’m keeping the squad I have a lot of good memories with. So, not the end of the world for me to sell them.
I’m glad they made it a choice instead of forcing people to sell them though. It was an option in theory but in this case everyone wins tbh.
I WILL NEVER SELL MY SQUADS. The more squads the better. Smooth brains get overwhelmed easy and dont understand BR lineups. I honestly hope they add more squads down the road.
As I am one of those that unlocked everything before the merge I can tell you now how many squads are there to sell, and what it is worth max, but I highly doubt that anyone selling their squads had all of them unlocked.
USSR: 46 squads = 460 000 Silver
USA: 48 squads = 480 000 Silver
Germany: 96 squads =960 000 Silver
Total = 1 900 000 Silver
So is the 1 900 000 Silver much? Yes and no, but sacrificing all of these squads, especially fully upgraded is definitely not worth it for that amount.
And to give you guys some perspective on how 2 mil of Silver is not really that much when you can spend a lot more:
This is what I managed to collect after the update selling all those extra soldiers of Rank IV and III as well from selling all other stuff that I don’t need. Very likely I will never get to that number ever again, this merge was the only opportunity for that.
After that I went on a big spending, upgrading (with 40% discount) all non-premium vehicles in the entire game and buying lots of guns + upgrades to max for all BR’s. I must add to that around 40% of vehicles were upgraded before the merge.
Now I am sitting on this, still spending more when I lack some weapon on a given BR:
Of course I could save up like 3 mil not upgrading everything I could and only buy necessary equipment, but if you want everything top in this game you need to spend BIG.
You think the average Enlisted player has common sense? Dude, some people legit sell the squad for 10k silver, 10k… when you can sell 1 Assaulter IV for 11.5k…
Seriously people enjoy being scammed
Pretty stupid if you sell sniper squad as German though… cuz you can legit be a better assaulter squad with that lmao
where in the world is the sell option? cant seem to locate it. Dont want to accidentely sell a squad.
I have around 2 millions worth of soldiers stored at those “unused” squad as backup economy plan… but now looking at the RNG gacha stat the game still have when you purchase a soldier I kinda hesitate selling my existing soldiers for potentially a worse soldier
*every squad
Would be different story islf is 10k silver worth of gold…
Math makes perfect sense to me. And for people who could afford it I wouldn’t recommend selling squads.
For someone like me, who didn’t even have rifleman 2 unlocked Pre-merge though, it makes sense to get a small cash buffer to help with the grind.
“Of course! It makes life easier, and we ask for so little in return…”
(I understand your point of view. Just had to joke about it)
It’s impressive. I didn’t know it costed THAT much to max things out, but I expected along those lines.
It personally cost me… 200k.
But that’s only because over 3 years, I already had accumulated and maxed so much…
The 200k was wasted on refitting perks, and maxing spare weapons for some surplus br tiers.
Which brings another concern, that a few others already have:
- income is seemingly too low. I do not have issues, but I see that some new players, might.
Doesn’t justify selling precious squads for such a scam price, thought.
Level 40 player here, 2 yrs plus with a huge army ,tanks planes etc, br 5 and i am deadtired of playing 19 x stalingrad in an unbalanced game on a row waiting for normandy to popup… Gameplay is no more fun. Maintaining perks voor plus 140 soldiers is a task for buttonpressers and autistic creatures. I dont want to sell teams for useless silverlings but if i can donate it to make a young kid happy and save him her it weeks of clicking would b a nice option.
That’s precisely why you shouldn’t sell em:
Manually switching everything for each br preset is tiresome. Having already set up all my br presets, all I have to do is load a preset and not even look what’s in my squads.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they’re was some kind of comprehensive inventory management system so we could see all our items and where they were equipped all at once, maybe with an ability to set equipment presets for squads? Maybe asking for too much with that though
Thank you for carrying on the good fight soldier
I sold all my Stalingrad sniper squads
You realize you can’t get any of them back, right?
