Except they aren“t rewards for CAT?
As far as I“m aware they are rewards from crowdfunding long before Enlisted even entered CAT status.

Look man, I don’t remember. I thought they might have been CBT awards, but someone else said CAT, so I dunno. I didn’t crowd fund to get into CAT, I was invited, FWIW.

Why not just have bayonets be affixable to everything that had them? I’d be happy with that…

I’d be pretty okay with this, if any rifle not zeroed for use with the bayonet attached gets worse dispersion when it’s fixed. So…basically every rifle except mosins would be less accurate with the bayonet than without.

It was a preorder reward along with the Trench mag Kar and the Air Service Springfield

The rule of cool is a real thing

What does that air-service Springfield look like? I’m actually pretty interested as both weapons sound really cool.

Yeah, it’s also the main reason why so many German ā€˜wunder’ weapons were truly inefficient in spite of their advanced designs or engineering purposes. Much like the Death Star, they were technological terrors, but probably mostly for the users and maintainers.

Eh, yes and no. All the wonderweapons that actually got made and used mostly suffered from rushed production/low quality or low quantity of necessary raw materials. Panther needed a lot of materials Germany was short on to run without so many breakdowns, and the STG44 was designed to be basically disposable.

That thing’s magazine looks horrifying. Lol
Wait
What’s the magazine capacity on that thing?!

25, gets fed with 5 stripper clips.
