Bayonet are so slow and easy to miss that sometimes roloading one bullet while jumping like in COD is more effective… And that just a stupid gameplay when you are already in sword distance and have bayonet on your gun.
A little aim assist on bayonet wouldn’t be a bad thing.
That basicaly the same thing as increasing the hit box.
Same result as a aim assist anyway, except with an aim assist it will not look like you kill the guy by hitting the door.
Bayonet is a spear, it will feel wierd.
Aim assist will feel like “Excecute” button you find everywhere. Your method will look like lag.
i dont get consoles getting aim assist in the first place. Those things are as fast and accurate as an mouse in my experience, And ive played with both ps and xbox
If you are think about bayonet charge in BF One… don’t just don’t.
It felt more like guiding a missile more than charging with a bayonet.
What could be nice tho is to be able to run while your melee attack is hold.
For the moment you can not kill somebody who is running away even if you can technically touch his shoulder since when you hit you will stop running.
I’m just affraid this too change (aim assist/improve hit box and hold your attack while running/increase range) can make the melee combat too strong.
I think not having such a thing just differs the good from the others. Being good at something is in my opinion not achieved by having helping tools, only thing what that does is equal players and punish the better ones.
Ofc i run away, but in enlisted it most likely would be 4, dodge and hit him or just hit him in first place. So as said for me the answer is just becoming better rather than implementing a helping hand.
It isn’t. It in facts makes hip firing (and melee) even LESS precise. Moving your mouse moves your weapon BEFORE the rest of your body moves, just like red orchestra.
I was thinking more in the direction of being able to preemptively charge your bayonet (pull it backwards and ready to strike), so you could hit the enemy immedietly without having to wait the 3s or so between button press and hit.
