Bayonet: Should have an aim assist

Bayonet are so slow and easy to miss that sometimes roloading one bullet while jumping like in COD is more effective… And that just a stupid gameplay when you are already in sword distance and have bayonet on your gun.

A little aim assist on bayonet wouldn’t be a bad thing.

How can you miss in real life while you rush at the enemy? They will not just run around you and get on your back. This is not Dark Souls.

Aim assist, no. Leave that for consoles.

Instead, inertia for running soldiers and aiming not centered to a single point in the middle of the screen when not ads.

That basicaly the same thing as increasing the hit box.
Same result as a aim assist anyway, except with an aim assist it will not look like you kill the guy by hitting the door.
Bayonet is a spear, it will feel wierd.

Aim assist will feel like “Excecute” button you find everywhere. Your method will look like lag.

If only we can actually hold the melee button and release it to stab like RO2. Atleast that way we can have some proper bayonet charges.

Aim assist for a freakin’ bayonet??

Which bayonet sights would this work best with L/Cpl Jones??

i dont get consoles getting aim assist in the first place. Those things are as fast and accurate as an mouse in my experience, And ive played with both ps and xbox

If you are think about bayonet charge in BF One… don’t just don’t.
It felt more like guiding a missile more than charging with a bayonet.

What could be nice tho is to be able to run while your melee attack is hold.
For the moment you can not kill somebody who is running away even if you can technically touch his shoulder since when you hit you will stop running.
I’m just affraid this too change (aim assist/improve hit box and hold your attack while running/increase range) can make the melee combat too strong.

If only we could do bayonet charges like Battlefield 1 & 5, instead of running toward them and bayonet the enemy.

WE ARE NOT GUIDED MISSILE! Forget now this stupid bayonet charge, it was stupid in BF One, it will be worst in Enlisted.

A range extend why not: bayonet is kind of a spear after all.
But not a missile guided super speed run charge into melee attack. NO JUST NO!

I was thinking something like this one when it comes to bayonet charges and melee

I remember commander Reece in theese ones ^^ <3 Best part was that you got health (toughness) boost when charging but lost it instantly when not

I think not having such a thing just differs the good from the others. Being good at something is in my opinion not achieved by having helping tools, only thing what that does is equal players and punish the better ones.

it’s a 12min long video. Where should I look? I’m not gonna watch 12min of gameplay for a 5s relevant part.
Give the timer.

You are in the street, somebody attack you with a knife. What do you do?

  1. Run away
  2. Lay down to dodge the attack
  3. Straf on the left/right to dodge the attack
  4. Sprint in circle or behind him to make it difficult to hit you. You can also jump.

Only one of this answere is real, the other are in Enlisted.

Ofc i run away, but in enlisted it most likely would be 4, dodge and hit him or just hit him in first place. So as said for me the answer is just becoming better rather than implementing a helping hand.

It isn’t. It in facts makes hip firing (and melee) even LESS precise. Moving your mouse moves your weapon BEFORE the rest of your body moves, just like red orchestra.

I understand now. Yea could be a solution for people who don’t like an over assisted gameplay.

Well I know most players turn that thing off, too. Heard it prevents from doing accurate headshots or aim well at someone partially behind cover

I was thinking more in the direction of being able to preemptively charge your bayonet (pull it backwards and ready to strike), so you could hit the enemy immedietly without having to wait the 3s or so between button press and hit.
