Bayonet charges

The charge with this weapon needs a rework, sometimes you can easily go through enemies without killing them (despite the fact you can clearly see they were “touched” by the bayonet model) and some other times the charge doesn’t properly work. Units start charging for half a second and then they stop, even when you keep pressing the button in order to do so.
And alright, I wasn’t going to mention it, but the animation of the charge is ugly af and not accurate (yeah, I know, it’s one of the ways to charge with bayonet, but it was commonly used during WW1, during WW2 was changed).
Hoping this gets some attention, Rudolf.

Yesterday, I “bayonet charge” a man for “fun”. My bayonet did nothing, he took the time to take his handgun to kill me. So it clearly need a change.

yes sometimes charge doesn’t do damage and sometimes it doesn’t even start.

the worst thing is the charge aborts itself extremely often.

Oh, I really thought it stops because I do not press strong enough my scroll wheel. I understand now why it often stops only two seconds after.

When I play Japan, I bayonet or Katana charge the enemy… in THEIR grey zone…

It sures surprises them, but the problem is, on my 9 guys… only the one I control actually charges… it’s not very effective (but glorious).

Japan should have a charge function that once triggered, make ALL your soldiers bayonet or katana charge :upside_down_face:

The one thing I would remove about the auto attack feature

Indeed, and this is one of the many experiences I had…

Utterly ridiculous, it doesn’t even start of it’s aborted at the beggining.

They don’t even make bots smart enough to cover or use safe routes and you’d like them to charge all at once? Oh man, the dreams, the dreams…

Make it where a massive banzai attack causes suppression (the range of suppression is multiplied based on the number of squads charging). During the Banzai, the soldiers can tank more bullets and use less stamina.

This would make the Japanese unique and actually be asymmetrical, considering they will never match up to American supremacy in equipment. But it won’t matter what guns they have if they get overran and stabbed to death…

if i see a horde of bots (or player led bots) charging at me screaming banzai or whatever goobleygook they’re from, i’ll respect their cojones no matter the end result. either i mow them down or die to them.
