Hi, wanted to write down some feedback re: gold order situation and the battlepass - sorry in advance for the longer post.
In general I am good with the extension of the battlepass and like the doubling of the gold weapon orders, however there are some issues from my perspective.
Let’s start with the most lacking aspect of the rewards system: gold order soldiers.
You can roll a better trooper out of the silver orders: the only thing really special about them is that they have a medal. Contrast this with the much better gold order vehicles which come fully upgraded and with visual difference.
So i would propose the following things as adjustments:
- These troops come with all slots unlocked (or, you choose between rifle / backpack on soldier level)
- They have max stats for the class
- If you are feeling generous, you’d also think about giving them a special perk or one of the stronger perks from the regular list in stead of the normal class perk to make them a bit stronger than the regular soldier of same class and level.
That way they would be more useful, better and in a way really unique. This should generally apply to all reward-medal soldiers and be done retroactively for the ones already rolled.
Secondly, lets talk about Gold order weapon adjustments:
In my view many of the recent additions are too much restricted by class given their relative weakness. The last batch of weapons are only for assaulters, despite being basically semi auto weapons. I would therefore propose that you make all the pistol caliber semi-auto carbine weapons (including the pedersen device rifle) equippable by minimum radiomen (who have always two slots, and who could then use one of these + rifle) but possibly by troopers too. Seeing as they can equip powerful semi- and select fire rifles anyway in many of the campaigns, restricting these weaker guns to assaulters makes very little sense to me. Unlocking them for more classes would make them much more usable and interesting choices, and given the way normal weapons are distributed I cannot see a reason not to do this.
Other than that, I actually think you should be able to equip the artillery luger as a sidearm. In return, you could in the future then give allies fun powerful gold order sidearms like a Moisin-obrez or a .357 revolver.
The battlepass rewards themselves: OK, but some feeling of filler content. In general it would also be good to have more battlepass unique drops
Call sign change: 4x4 rewards. While at first it was interesting to get these, especially having gone through multiple battlepass seasons these just pile up and wont get used by me - they feel useless and like filler content. I would reduce the number of them (make it 1x8 or something) and particularly not have them as paid battlepass level 72 rewards as now.
Cosmetic change orders: 2x5, 1x10. Here I feel that the numbers are too low given the absurdly high cost of customizing soldiers in stalingrad. Preferably double to quadruple the amount of orders per reward here.
Weapon upgrade tickets. 3x1, 1x2 These are fine to get as they save some bronze orders, but since the reworking of the upgrade system feels a bit redundant. Nonetheless, to increase the uniqueness of battlepass rewards it would be nice if you’d create a golden weapon upgrade ticket, which would be able to give +1 level to any gun regardless of whether you have upgraded the relevant squad tree or not.
Weapons and troop orders: Generally have the feeling that there are too many silver troop orders relative to how many of those you need in reality. Should increase the number of silver guns vs. silver troop orders.
