Here are some bad idea for today: What if there is a Battle Royal in Enlisted Mod?
Note: Mentioning “mod”, not “mode”

Here is how it will work: Your Almost Average Battle Royal

  • The mod will take place in Moscow since there are many houses and easy to work with.
  • It will be Lone Fighter Mode
  • It will use only one Airborne Squad with only one soldier with no equipment
    • IF this doesn’t work, use the airplane squad. (I’m sure the players will drop on their own"{)
  • The loot will drop on the Map, which includes Weapons with their own magazines, grenades, equipment (like bottles of water/ binoculars), and more. Meaning that the players needs to loot on the houses or random places to get equipment.
  • It will also have vehicles on the map, which includes tanks, probably planes, vehicles, maybe mechs, and more…
  • Players can use planes to make a little chaotic during the beginning of the game.
  • The Border will start to close depending on how much players they are
  • The Map will have the same size as the entire Tractor Factory from Stalingrad since the maximum players are 40-50.

Party 1.5: Warzone Mode Version
This is only if no team doesn’t work.

  • It will have two teams
  • They have to capture the most point in one objective in the middle of the map
  • The Border will close down depending on the points of each team (I Think)
  • The team that earns more points win
  • They can respawn again, however, they cannot regain their loot.
  • This also includes things from the first part that aren’t mentioned here.

Note: This is probably a bad idea.

If you want battle Royal, then go play battle Royal genre games. There’s quite lot of them.

As a mod? sure

as a normal game mode? hell no

Battle Royales are over done, and at least to me never fun.
Look at BFV’s Battle royal and see how it failed, Probably would happen the same with enlisted.

Yes, as a mod
As a game mode, no. There is a lot of Battle Royal games, plus Battle Royal Game Mode is not Enlisted style.

For me, it will be really cool if there is a mod, not mode, that is pretty unique to overall enlisted mods, but overall, is still a bad idea.

Yeah, i was trying to think how to make this idea moddable, but noticing a few replies show me that not many players liked the idea.

I barely started a mod and then just give up. Also I don’t think they up to the challenge, even though I will ask them.

For this point, I suggest you to learn about the game CRSED, which is the darling of DF, you can find him on Steam.

We players do not need to create this mod.

Developers only need to copy the functions of CRSED here.

Even if it’s not a Battle Royale game rule, CRSED has a lot of rich features

You can find a lot of interesting features in it, which should be but never appeared in Enlisted.

I don’t deny that Enlisted is popular with players who like him what it is now.

According to my observations, the players who still stay in Enlisted mainly like the PvE element in the invasion mode of this game. This ratio is relatively high. More than 25% of the combat in the current game is casual or PvE combat. And we don’t have a dedicated PvE mode like CRSED Zombies in Enlisted because the devs think they’re making PvP.

And for more players, those who like strategy players, players of the infantry version of War Thunder, they will not stay in the forum and wait because of the potential of Enlisted, as far as I know they are silent immediately, they don’t need to worry about this F2P games waiting for what, all levels of statistics will tell you what the truth is.

Naturally, this is a sad outcome for the developers, meaning most of the new players don’t stick around. Although players who like the status quo of this game still love this game, but these just parts of more those players which should be able to stay here.

what you are asking, it’s… not currently possible to do.

you can’t randomize the loot, have a moving grey area and pretty much 70% of these points.

as my collegue in the editor already posted; @tommyZZM you’d be better off on CRSED which it’s essentially enlisted with it’s weapons and motor engine but slightly modern and actually battle royale.

Even if editor kinda limited you still can do crazy things. And some version of royale is possible to do.
Yeah… Start maybe not from paradrop/plane, but still some things possible to do.

You can do it by editing level.
level__weatherChoice allows create even item entities not only weather, rain/snow and lightning.
So yeah. You can set… Like 10 different “weathers” with random loot.

Yeah. It’s probably not possible to do based on team score, but… Possible to do based on time.
There 2 ways.

  • Pacific entity that activates group after X time.
It's ``group_switch_timer``.

You can’t create it editor, because of property group_switch_timer__time. It’s by default 0.
But still can add it by editing scene.

In sandbox portal already some test version of royale - Night TDM Royale.
But maybe without looting and for win you need kill enemies.

you might got it wrong from translation, but loot meant for goodies.

like, each time have a different placement and positions of guns and what not.

not the weather.

not really either.

it’s not as any battle royale where it starts and close it.

in enlisted, it’s more on a “faster” way.

yeah but how would you determine team?

you’d need 1 team for singular player.

and, so far, we only have 4 teams.
