The beretta M38 was used and even produced by Germany almost to the end of the war with Germany making some 250,000 in 44 and 45. They liked it that much

The battle of berlin saw all sorts of odd weapons showing up. It makes since for a weapon that was so preferred and produced that it would of made its way to the last stand. How many MP35s were there? Or FG42s? We will never know in the end

That is true for sure, but before those “edge cases” (as I stated before, I have no clue if my interpretation is ight) are introduced I would like to see weapons which are maybe more likely in that scenario or are very unique to that scenario.
For example I very like that they introduced the Volkssturm weapons. Even if they are crap.

Thats right. M38 should have never been in Berlin as an unlock or IRL. Its a very bad weapon compared to MP40. Its recoil is heavy, sights are bad. Its too late now but what they actually should have done in Berlin 26th level. Soviets PPS41 (71 rounds) - that is fine. Germans they should have given MP43/1 or more appropriately MP40/1 (62 round magazine) This would have actually been sort of balanced. Looking at the beretta - its an embarrassment

Offcourse its not. It has 64 round magazine and that is a lot better. MP40 dominates in medium, short ranges just as much as PPSH. Or in medium and long range a lot of times better. But having 64 rounds would be comparable to the PPSH atleast somewhat. M38 is just a mistake.
disagree. the beretta is better than the mp40/I. and the ppsh/ppd is also better than the mp40 in pretty much every situation

So the best infantry weapons of the war is bad? tell me now that the ppd is better than the ppsh41 or that the sten is better than the m3a1
not in every lol. Look at the range of the MP40. You can 3 shot a person at 150 metres .
MP40 has better penetration of obstacles. The recoil is easier, just pull down.
You can actually have different backpacks with MP40. With PPSH i must have large ammo or i just run out of ammo very quickly.
And how is the beretta better than the MP40/1?
Yes M38 in game is not very good. I only equip it to tankers or pilots because that way i never have to use it. And i do it because i run out of MP40s. The unpredictable recoil, the longer reload and bad sights make me chose the MP40. The only better thing about it, is that it has 8 more bullets

no skill isnt an issue. I have just pointed out why i like the MP40 more. Its personal preferance. I know youre an italian patriot but im sorry i think your gun is not as good as MP40.
I am used to killing everyone with MP40 and it is very effective.
And by rest of the forum you mean 1 guy? I have seen plenty of people say that M38 unlock lvl 26 is an insult. Its useless because MP40 is unlocked early and is better.

higher ROF, faster reload and the 40 round mag. the mp40/1’s reload is also strange. because in order to switch to the second mag, you have to first completely empty the first one, and then do a short animation. making the system just not worth it as most of the time, you will kill people with the first mag and just reload normally.
you almost never engage in a firefight over 50 meters with an smg in game because of the shot deviation. but the ppsh would still be better in this instance as even though you need 4 shots, the firerate is also double that of the mp40
i am sorry but if you struggle with ppd/ppsh recoil then that is a you problem
