Battle of the bulge

There are two things that must be improved, to make playing on this map at least pleasant, since we are condemned to playing on this map infinite times consecutively as if there were no other maps

  1. strongest defensive points, this is one of the most open maps and with the most options for advance routes for the attacking team, but the defensive positions are completely unfavorable for the defending team, with the existing bunkers being merely decorative, as upon entering you are instantly killed by tanks

2 . bots shooting through bushes, even though you are close and behind dense bushes, you are constantly targeted by boots as if you were in an open field

The first point on Dominant Heights (Invasion) and the second point on Hürtgen Forest (Invasion) are a complete paradise for grey zone tanks. They should take a relook into the greyzone areas for these objectives.

My man you have a shovel. Dig the trench

I agree, AI shooting through bushes needs to be fixed asap.

In bulge, we need less bushes and more real cover.

And an overly open map is a paradise for gray zone tanks and aircrafts. In bulge, infantry’s life is priceless as paramecium, most of infantry players are just bots that provide gaming experience for tank/aircraft players.

The most infuriating thing is that infantry players are the ones who finally decide the outcome, and the scores obtained by most vehicle players do not match their efforts or contributions.

I think this problem is not easy to solve, after all, it was DF who made vehicle so powerful.

Yes but it’s a team effort.
You should be happy having a good pilot/tanker on your team who wipes out half the enemy team.
So our infantry can take the objective easily.

I’ve never had any problem playing as infantry in battle of the bulge campaign on BR5.

The only annoying thing there can be HVARs, but they’re annoying in literally every other campaign.

Yes it is a team effort, but I believe that infantry deserve more points in return for their capture work.

Impossible to dig or build when you get constantly fucked by artillery, tanks, planes, impact nades, flamethrowers, and paratroopers

You got like checks watch 30 seconds after initial spawn till we’re on your rear. Dig a foxhole and go from there

I enjoyed everything about this map
The open terrain gives vehicles the advantages they deserve
Infantry can conduct assaults on terrain without many obstacles and enjoy perfect shooting vision.

As long as you or your teammates have enough brains
Rather than cannon fodder that is worse than AI
Or a selfish vehicle parasite
Then it shouldn’t be difficult to create an advantage for yourself.
Regrettably
These problems can be seen in almost every game

I played more than 1,000 games
Two things that are clearly understood are
No matter how the official adjusts
There will always be a large group of people who will not examine their own abilities
and blame all issues on balance and other players

And downward revision cannot solve the core problem
Keeping catering to those punchbags who have no thinking ability will only lose the main customer base and potential revenue.

Any U.S. tank that saw a King Tiger seemed to think so, too.

Imbalance between German/US tanks isn’t problem of map.

Better tanks for US are already in development.

you’re right
But it hasn’t appeared yet
Now U.S. tanks and infantry are fighting without the right aircraft support
Super long-range black zone attack and almost invincible frontal armor
Tiger King is a nightmare they can barely defeat

Or if your zone is captured in the meantime. :joy:
If you have time to build, you’ve already won.

For those who haven’t seen it…

One of the variations has the zone on an open road.

Even better. Lol. :joy:

I agree. German and American grey ones are absolutely atrocious. It’s frustrating enough when a tiger is in the greyzone, but when a Sherman calliope and a Sherman Jumbo are both in the greyzone and no one has a tiger, it’s miserable.

I agree. Should be atleast modified for the map and objective zones.

We need more snow and a darker/greyer sky. The battle of the bulge had so much snow and dark thick forests, we are fighting in open areas where there is little snow and by the 3rd objective in the two story townhome, it’s sunny and bright and without thick dense snow. The last objective looks to be in the middle of spring. It’s confusing and incorrect.

Exactly. It gets more frustrating when someone is in the air and despite me marking the tank the pilot is unable to take it out.
