To be honest I don’t understand why they haven’t introduced a Pre-War Kar98 as the best german bolt-action rifle. The Mannlicher has so much better stats than the Kar which I don’t find historically deserved. I understand why they took the Kar98 as a starting rifle as this will be the most present gun (and therefor makes everything more historically credible) but for the same reason the best bolt action rifle should also have been a pre-war Kar.
Planes appear to me to be the most useless unit in Stalingrad. Especially those Night Witches are more like an extremely overpriced gag than actually helpful as youll have such a hard time using these bombs effectively since most battles take part indoors anyway. Fighters make sense to counter those airstrikes but then again: who roams lonely through the skies just because some bombers could appear - or not.
The performance of the game got worse after the new update. Before the update the game ran perfectly and now it runs minus 30-40 fps for some reason, especially on the new Stalingrad maps. Also there are tons of weird texture and item pop-ins on the new maps that are very distracting.
You need to balance this way over the top Full Access BS. You just wrecked whole game. The progression of grinding and get a feel of the game and get attached to the squads and weapons aswell as grinding on to unlock squad upgrades is totally wrecked. It’s ridiculous the speed of progression. ATLEAST half it straight away. You just killed the progression of the Game, and by doing so the Game itself. The playability of the gaem is to unlock new cool squads, weapons and vehicles and you just made that a walk in the park just insta handed out. What’s there to fight for now? what’s there to grind for? It will become boring and stale at once and the evil circle of unlocked everything and want new stuff out on demand. evil circle. The Campaign is awesome, but hey way with the speed up progression is ridiculous too much
Do people really want to grind more? Im more than happy leveling at this pace and having so many squad slots. I can equip my soldiers however I want and since I dont meta game that means lots of bolt actions and a mix of SMGs. You can keep playing for fun instead of just grinding it like its a job. There is plenty wrong in Stalingrad but Im glad with the pacing of it.
What I don’t like: Concussion effect. Revert it back to what it was before at least for Normandy because it is just a shitshow with the new concussion system.
Can we also get the Stalingraskaya NKVD unit? I have seen some blue capped bots running around in Moscow coats and I feel like we should get such an iconic unit in game
Im glad to see the price for the “Full Access” is only $30. Please keep the prices that low, the fact I have to pay $60+ just for a tank is absurd. On another note, is there a limit to how long the 4x XP boost will last?
Only had time for 1 battle but yeah I like it. The “stage hazard” of the bombers and the triggered dynamite are very cool. But above all, I am delighted we finally have some decent sound design. The Mosins sounded great. Sound design has been Enlisted weakest point and Stalingrad weapons feel like that’s finally getting a proper revamp.
It’s awesome to finally see a female squad, but will you add random female soldiers (especially snipers) to the Soviet infantry side? That would be historically accurate and really cool in terms of diversifying the game.
Also, it would be amazing to see Polish units in the Red Army (such as Armia Ludowa and other such groups that fought alongside Soviets during WW2). 250,000 Poles served in the Red Army itself - including 3,000 defending Moscow and over 10,000 during the Battle of Stalingrad. In 1944, Konstanty Rokossowski - a Polish man - was Marshal of the Soviet Union, which was the highest military rank of the USSR! I think it’s almost criminal to not include Polish units and soldiers with Polish names fighting on the Russian side in a game that aims to be historically accurate.
Elsewhere on the Eastern Front of WW2, there were up to 100,000 soldiers in the Soviet-controlled Armia Ludowa - which was the main regular Polish army in the east. There were also the partisan forces, the largest and most effective of which was the Armia Krajowa with 400,000 members at its peak (also many women fighters and female medics here).
Poles also fought on the Western Front, around 250,000 soldiers that we know of spread across various formations and countries (Polish pilots and navy in Britain, tankmen in North Africa, infantry and artillery at Monte Cassino, etc.). So, all things considered, Poles and people of Polish descent fought on almost every front and battle of the Second World War.
I think a quick patch could be done to add soldiers with Polish names in Red Army forces, then another slightly bigger one to add Polish units to the Soviet side in existing campaigns, finally a larger scale update to bring us Polish partisans with new maps (such as the Warsaw Uprising - the single largest military effort taken by any anti-Nazi resistance movement during World War II).
Agree totally. The having to work for new items/squads is essentially eliminated and as a result it will make the game stale to the new player base. (probably not just the new player base) I predict the majority of the new player base will move on to other games after a short time if this is implemented campaign wide.
