Battle of Spartanovka Showcase [Lone Fighter PVE-MOD]

a bit of context,

this one has been long in the making. i must admit.
but i can finally put this project at rest and give it it’s own spotlight.

Welcome to my and @Yopsius collaboration mod/project.
and we are proud to announce our battle of spartanovka.

What is battle of spartanovka?

battle of spartanovka is a faithful ( within enlisted limits ) recreation of a map with the same name and layout from a title that was dear to our hearths back in the days. and still somewhat is
primarily from Red orchestra 2.

so this is our tribute. sort of a remaster if you will of the red orchestra 2 campaign missions.

here is a small trailer showcase ( that i should have released a long time ago… )

Features

in this mod, you’ll have:

Objectives :white_square_button:

Soviet Defenders briefing:

German Attackers briefing:

the germans will be on the offense, and the soviets will be on the defense.

the church and town hall objectives will remain the same. but each time the game will be replayed, the housing blocks will have different combinations in order to allow some repleyability.

Who is Battle of Spartanovka made for

this mod is made for those who has nostalgia about red orchestra 2, or anyone who desires to play PVEs in enlisted. and above all, it’s a much more slowed phase gamemode.

if you rush. you’ll most likely die. so take things slow, and methodically.
rally points are not a thing here. ( mostly due to the map being small, and in red orchestra 2, rally points weren’t a thing. )

i’ll might make a pvp version in the future, but i personally do not publish such mods.

Link to the mods.

German Side:

Easy :star: https://sandbox.enlisted.net/post/gep4N2TtwoFZFF4N/manifest/7/
this is based to the default experience of red orchestra 2.
it does not have vehicles, it’s mostly infantry based.

Medium :star: :star: https://sandbox.enlisted.net/post/ozeeUEnycKEpd6VE/manifest/31/
in this version, there are more than 240+ soldiers stationed. standard experience to enlisted. with flametroopers, medic and tankers class available. limited tanks as well placed at the spawn.

Hard :star: :star: :star: ( unfinished )
this version will be essentially historical accurate. less fantasy weapons, and more hardcore settings
or, perhaps i’ll make it similar to the soviet hard mission where the germans will be defending.

Soviet Side:

Easy :star: https://sandbox.enlisted.net/post/FasAKLBgemGgKz2X/manifest/23/
this is based to the default experience of red orchestra 2.
it does not have vehicles, it’s mostly infantry based.

Medium :star: :star: ( unfinished )
in this version, the soviets will be the ones attacking. or, perhaps i’ll make so players will be able to spawn with their own soldiers. i’m still a bit unsure. let me guys know.

Hard :star: :star: :star: https://sandbox.enlisted.net/post/qYA9A63IDBqZQpui/manifest/7/
in this version, everything will be historical accurate. no abilities to get downed, the enemy will deploy with actual squads opposed as individual soldiers and have limited reinforcements but they will swarm.
vehicles will be placed across the map.

Known Issues & Reccomandations

  • some red text will appear.
do not worry, that shouldn’t do much. but due to the complexity of custom content, sometimes the game doesn’t like it.

  • guns sometimes do not work and some of the germans will be tposin / some enemies will be invisible.
unfortunately, i can’t do much about this. but it is reccomended to at least join the session, exit and rejoin. this is due to how :poop: server of enlisted are when it comes to mods. upon rejoin the game will get all the content needed.

( don’t ask us why :upside_down_face: )

Special thanks

i would like to publicly thank few individuals through out my journey to achieve my accomplishment.

@Yopsius for having made an initial version of the map with the logic, and agreed to make this collaboration
@Euthymia07 for teaching me where to look for weapons and various data related thingies.
@Devenddar for being my modding mentor and allowing me to learn many things. largely this mod wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for his patience and kindness
@Bazsi37 for few assets and redirecting me on weapons

last but not least,
@frenk4
( damn him for not being on the forum. anyway, )
this crazy guy managed to make reality what i have envisioned through such awesome videos and not so clear directions :joy: but truly.

And lastly;

don’t forget to have fun!

always open for feedbacks or suggestions

If it’s from Red Orchestra, you have my attention. I’m going to play it in a giveaway for my community. It

also reminded me that I tried to do the briefing for Univermag, hahaha:

someone might have discovered my next plans :eyes:

out of my hardrive!

sho!-sho!

but jokes aside,

i really wanted to do many things, but bogged down by limitations, lack of time, and what not…

so… technically that one will be made in the distant-future

You know, some maps of creators are absolutely beautiful. I said it again and again, the devs should take selected custom maps into the main game. I really liked your mod, its just hard to find real players…

to be fair,

all the credit goes to yopsius.
he was the original creator

i only moved around to match the layout, adjusted some of the houses ( due to being broken with that update to moscow houses with missplaced windows ), rebuilt the trenches, bridges and what not. ( then proceed to make all the custom vehicles and profiles. )

unfortunately, this one is rather small to be an official enlisted maps, but thanks for the kind words.

More interesting than the new Burma map, which has fancy assets but it’s soulless.

I played this 6 months(?) ago, i really liked it.

Performance is still an issue, because of bot count. I would put an arrow down where the enemy is attacking from (i went to the dried up river before i realised they are attacking from a different direction, the church)

@Scav_Sergei gutting battle pass, and wasting time on reshaping features that were okay as they were is more important i guess

valid point.

something i will add in the next weeks

thanks for the kind words, and the quick feedback.

Also that the soviets got red collars, a helmet with the strap down and the Germans finally got matching colored uniforms?

Erika did more improvements to the customization than the devs in the last 2 years

it truly is a crime that to this day, the soviets don’t have sh40s with straps down :skull:

but to be fair, the customization guy is only one.

so… yikes

Children aged 12-16 playing this game on console doesn’t care about uniforms. (Older people neither tbh)

Fixing uniforms doesn’t yield immidiate income
Adding more features to modding doesn’t yield immidiate income
Etc etc.

If they would allow selected created maps to be added to the main game, its an absolute win for everyone:

  • the players get more content
  • mod creators get more motivated to create more maps
  • the devs do not have to do anything at all, but their game gets more content for free
