This battle was also an important one. In my opinion should be implemented, and together with the Battle of Kursk maybe bring an Armored Warfare mode to the game where the action is not based on capture the area but tanks vs tanks, time based(at the end of the time the team with the most destroyed tanks wins) and/or the first team to reach a specific amount of kills will win the round.
For a ārealā Kursk, weād need at least 20 vs 20 maps. And even if Kursk was the battle with the most tanks engaged at the same time, it wasnāt a tank exclusive battle.
There was thousands over thousands of men on the field as infantry as well. Hundreds of AT guns manned by Soviet defenders (which is in fact what made them win). Hundreds of fighters/bomber planes.
If you want a Kursk tank only battle⦠WT already has one.
If I wanted to experience it in War Thunder I would not have posted it in here. At the end of the day, it is just a suggestion.
And I answered your public post.
Aināt forums a wonderful thing? Everyone can say their piece. Isnāt it grand?
Kursk would be a fantastic way to introduce troop carriers and larger maps.
But there are already so many things that were introduced for testing that are still hanging in limboā¦Iām hesitant to encourage the devs to get too ambitious.
Kursk and APC need a proper campaign with different gameplay or it end like bike or m13, like an elephant in the middle of the room
Medic got a last minute save with dev decide to make AI full able to heal withaut player input and full AI squad use alot of different squad composition (with medic mixed in)
I like the Kursk concept a lot. Also, operating tanks and getting other tank kills in Enlisted I find to be way more satisfying than in War Thunder. More methodical for me at least
If we ever got a Battle of Kursk would it be its own campaign or just be part of another (new) campaign
I believe eventually we will get Kursk at some point because thereās still so much WW2 left to cover and the devs are committed
Exactly! Some may say that the small arms would be repeat which would be true. The devs canāt make fantasy weapons or prototypes because that would also upset people, it is hard to make everyone in the community happy. HOWEVER, Kursk would be a perfect way to introduce larger maps, sides and halftracks, other troop carriers and even SPGās. I think there may be a few already in the files too? Not saying for Kursk per se, but they are there.
Hard telling, though I have theorized before that they may do it as a 1-2 week event commemorating the battle. Gaijin is known for doing that, but who knows!
I mean already in game we have lots of stuff from the very famous and well known to the rare, prototype, and experimental. Its what makes it the best WW2 sandbox over others
Yes, my wording may not have been thorough. I meant to say, when they introduce those sort of weapons, purists get pissed. and when they add the MP40 to a 4th campaign, they annoy more casual gamers who want variety. I think this is a tough situation for the devs and I honestly feel bad for them in this regard.
Iāve thought that maybe eventually they would overhaul the campaign system, but for now I think its fine. I find the entire selling point of a campaign is its setting, so Iām ok with a little grinding.
As of now, I have no problem unlocking the MP40 50 times. It is what it is
MP40 - the best partner and model workerļ¼embarrassed smileļ¼XD
