So am I the only one upset about how WWII ended? I mean they built Hitler up to be the big bad and just when he is about to face justice, he goes and kills himself. WTF was the point of him if FDR and Churchill were not going to fight him in an epic duel to save the world? And don’t get me started on FDR! They just kill him half way through the war. Truman totally did not deserve to win the war, his character arc was not about war winning. And it certainly wasn’t about destroying two cities with bullshit deus ex super weapons that came out of no where.
And another thing that pissed me off is that in the last episode of the war we find out that Stalin was a bad guy the entire time! Where was this foreshadowed to us? WTF, absolute character assassination. He was all about freeing the oppressed and bringing about a new system that wasn’t shackling the poor and they made him a dictator? That is bullshit!
Anyways, WWII was cool but its end was absolutely trash and I would like you guys to sign a petition to have it rewritten.

One of the main arguments against the Battle of France is about how the map may be recycled. However, I do have to disagree, as the campaign will take place deep inside the French heartlands, the ruins of Brussels and if Gaijin wanted to, add in the Italian attack from the alps.
Secondly, many argued about the Pacific, which I have to disagree in this current moment. First of all, a counter argument of reused German weapons, we now have reused American weapons. The Japanese have new, original weapons, but the French also have their own interesting share of original weapons, and even more. The Japanese will have only the Arisakas as their rifles, and where is their semi-auto ? It exists as a mere prototype, unlike the Armaguerra, ZH-29, etc. Their SMG ? The one and only Type 100 ? Just like a Beretta M38, but slightly worse. Tanks ? Non-existent.
To sum it up, the Japanese are in the same state as the Italians ? Utterly outclassed. How many players actually enjoyed playing the Italians in Tunisia ?
Secondly, most importantly, the map. Which massive multiplayer shooter games actually dared to make a Vietnam and Pacific based maps ? From what I recalled, not much, such as Rising Storm and Rising Storm 2. These games nailed the feeling because the talented team that worked behind it, with a 10 years experience making maps specifically about that jungle warfare. Gaijin ? Bah. Even if they were to make a Pacific campaign, how immersive will it feel ? Or will it be a major disappointment with Gaijin’s current experience ?
Battle of France sits with what Gaijin and Darkflow is comfortable with, and they are able to make. While some will see it as a reusing of maps, which might seem stale, if Gaijin were to give their effort at making the French interior, I believe that they are able to make something great.
Secondly, while one may see them reusing German weapons, there will be more interesting options, such as the fact that you will see both sides retaining a plethora of WW1 weapons.
And when it comes to France being the Italy of this campaign ? I have to utterly disagree, because of the fact that France simply have weapons that are up to par with the Germans in every aspect, and in some fields, surpassing the Germans, and in other fields, inferior but not much.
I want you to imagine something completely inspired by BF1’s maps, and that’s how I feel the Battle of France campaign would feel. With the remnants of the previous war still standing tall, you will feel a mixture of the old and the new ways of war.
