As in the title, I see an allied engineer placing barbed wire at the rally point more and more often. Own and built by others. Players and bots die on them often. This is no coincidence (because putting a dozen or so barbed wires in a small room is certainly not a coincidence), someone intentionally ruins the gameplay of others. Barbed wire killings count as suicides, so you can do it with impunity. Not seeing who built them, and even seeing an engineer with a hammer, I don’t know which player it is, so I don’t see the possibility of sending a report. Please devs team - fix it before it becomes a real plague.
Fortunately I don’t think I’ve ever seen this myself, but the amount of Barbwire that can be put inside of a room does seem to be a bit ridiculous at times.

More often though its just teammates putting loads of barbed wire in horribly detrimental spots
What I do take massive issue with is barbed wire on Normandy maps that are built into the map
My favorite tactic now is to dig trenches at key points and fill them with barbed wire. Sure the players most hop the trench, but their entire AI squad gets caught up.
Will it kill them, or do you get an assist ?
A single wire doesnt kill them but gets them to about half health. If I double row them in a wide trench, it kills about 75% of them. But you can only drop 10 wires so you have to be careful where you put them. And yes, you get the assist kill as well as engineer points. By far the fastest way to grind points as infantry.

Try it in a custom match with AI to get the feel for where they travel and their pathing.
if they actually manage to slow down the game i would love to try all these different defense tactics, bu at the moment its just rush and spray n pray.
Bigger maps and more spread out points would aid in that. Battlefield 2 comes to mind in that regard. The fighting was fast paced but the maps were dynamic and large enough to warrant the use of carpooling to get close to the point. All of the maps we have right now are all on the same map group, as in Normandy Airfield is only 1 or 2 km away from the actual beaches. You can see all the maps when you fly a plane. I think the modded games may be a test at larger maps but the ones I’ve played were far too big and open.
Maybe they could add another mode that encompasses 2 maps close together and double the amount of engineer resources for that mode, we could see some really unique plays.
On that note however, I feel like the they are still stuck on the War Thunder que mindset with getting people into short games as fast as possible.
Witch is an aspect I trully like in this game.
The only option to appeal both sides then is to have a version of SB
I usually play RB in WT, but occasionally when I want to slow down, I’ll play SB for 2 hours
You can tell who is building this shit most times by watching them build and noting whose engineering score goes up if it’s not blatantly obvious via the scoreboard to start with.
Either way just dismantle the stuff that it is in the way as most of the time the idiot responsible is hanging about and will tend to show their “Dismay” in your actions in some way which will further identify them. Then you can just execute the traitor on the spot as can bee seen below
