I’d be happy with that too, it would be like the double quarter pounder to the 20 round mag quarter pounder. The 50 round would be adding the cheese.

No thanks. You would have best MG at BR2, BR3 and BR5. There would be absolutely no reason to play as Germans anymore.

Looks like a weird 40 from what I can tell
MP40 is the worst performing SMG of all 4 countries vs pps-42/43, 2a and lanchester it will always lose, and tanks are inferior to the Soviet tanks. They have nothing good at BR2 they are worse than Japan, unless you pay for the obviously superior gun owned by the premium guerillas.
MP40 is cracked at medium range, its a really good all rounder.
The Pz3N is arguably the single best BR 2 tank.
Not to mention some good planes in that line up, including the IAR which is just straight up undertiered. The stuka D-3 being another solid choice.
And ngl, the MG 13 or Breda are solid competitors for the Bren, even if we ignore the stats, just for the fact half your screen isnt blocked off. The Madsen doesnt even fit in here compared to the rest of those.
So all in all, I dont think the germans are doing too bad, not to mention aside for BR 2, they have some other stupidly strong lineups

Germany is best faction, certainly against Allies.
Youve got very good rifles, the best SMGs (imo), very good LMGs, the best tanks, very good planes, very good AT weapons.
What more do you want?
I used to play Germany for a while, I only stopped because I hate Eastern Front maps and Soviet bias.
I wouldnt call the Bren, BAR or Johnson the best LMGs in game. Please tell me youre joking. The Brens arent bad, but theyve got terrible sights.
The first BAR SUCKS, BARA2 is great. Neverthless in a choice between a BARA2 and an MG34, I dont know how thats even a question. (its the MG34).
Allies dont get 20 round Thompson, but Axis get 20 round M38 (probably the best SMG of WWII according to Forgotten Weapons). The Lanchester is just an MP28 copy and its dispersion isnt great.
Owen is good for room clearing but has the worst sights and is only good for very close combat.
Germany gets the MP38 and MP40, excellent SMGs PLUS various other ones like that great Polish SMG/LMG hybrid thing.
I agree the lee enfield Mk IV is the best rifle in the game. If its 10/10 then the Axis rifles are definitely 8 or 9/10. Like the Mannlicher M1895, awesome rifle. All the Italian ones are very good too.
I cannot wrap my head around the lanchester worship, I just cant. Its not a bad gun, it does its job, but no way is it this messiah of SMGs people like you claim it is. The MP40 is a much better gun, I get a LOT more kills with it and save ammo.
I dont understand the “Germany suffers” argument against Western Allies. Soviets I agree theres Soviet bias, but Allies? Seriously?

IMO Its on par with the HO-I and T28E, all of them are great tanks.
To answer the actual post:
I agree with moving BAR M1918 down to BR II and adding the Lewis gun to BR III.
I cannot comprehend the BS arguments against these.
The M1918 BAR SUCKS. It is terrible. The vertical recoil makes the PPsH blush. Its also only got 20 rounds.
As Ive said the M1918A2 is great. But the M1918 does NOT belong at BR III. It is also incredibly stupid having three of the same gun at the same BR where the latter is clearly superior to the former.
I dont want BARA2 moved to BR IV, though Im open to them keeping a 20 round A2 at BR III and adding another one with a 50 round mag for BR IV.
Lewis gun was designed by an American and used by the Commonwealth. It needs to be in the Allied tech tree. Just because Soviets have it as premium doesnt mean we shouldnt. After all, the Soviets have panzerfausts. Should Germany not have panzefausts because the Soviets got them first??
Also, since it is a USA-UK tree and the devs dont want to split them like they should, we should have at least 1 option for each nation in each BR.
So by moving the M1918 BAR down to BR II we have option of British Brens or American BAR.
Likewise adding Lewis means option of American BARs or Commonwealth Lewis gun.

Yeah I had to use arguably there, the Ho I lacks a co ax MG so thats minus points, the T-28E is really good, but its gun is a little slower on the reload I think, the big bonus for the T-28 is the “spread out crew”, which doesnt stop you being one shot a lot of the time, but its a nice thought at least.
I really love the 3 MGs on the T-28, its amazing.
I like how all tanks are unique, none of them suffer.
US doesn’t have a clear choice though m8 Scott is powerful though it’s paper tank and open top.
M3 Grant and Lee are a bit difficult to learn but reliable.
Crusader is in between.
None of them are super good for the BR so all of them have a place. More BRs should be like this.
I agree, its a shame when a BR just has a clearly better weapon you have to use to remain competitive in what will likely be an uptier.
The 3 MGs on the T-28 are fantastic but using it a lot recently, the MGs seem very buggy atm, like last week they were doing no damage, now their doing next to no damage but at least you can kill people with them now. Not to mention the latest thing is the AI gunns just not following the cursor at all and shooting off randomly into the sky while I use the co ax.
Personally crusader is king for me for allied BR2 tanks, its fast, quick to react and most importantly has a good gun which (in theory) should punch well above its weight class. Even if the mystery of ghost AP shells continue, like I know for a matter of fact hans cant catch a 6 pounder shell with his intestines and just eat it up like an ersatz sausage

oh just on the topic of small arms, I have to ask, why does the M1A1 thompson still have a longer reload than the M1928A1 thompson when even its info tab says it has a faster reload.
