I play this game to have fun. However, I keep getting maps that I hate because they just suck. I will always leave these maps. And I don’t care whether I get a penalty for it or not. Either the option of blocking maps that you don’t like is introduced or you desert them. It’s as simple as that.

Forcing players to play a mode they don’t want to play, forcing players to join the game midway, forcing players to play a map they don’t want to play, forcing players to play an unfair match with an unequal number of players

Every time one of these threads pops up, I just imagine some kid (like I was when I was 14) not able to wrap their head around the fact that grown adults sometimes have random responsibilities come up that they must attend to.
I don’t want to quit any match, but sometimes it just happens and I’d rather not get penalized for tending to my IRL

Forcing people to play matches they don’t want to play will not force them to play the objective. You’re trying to treat the symptoms instead of the disease

make a penalty for those who leave after certain amount of time, like 5 minutes in, because there’s much more early quitters which is totally fine since there’s no map/mode selection.
if you quit a game after couple of minutes it’s probably because you’re losing, not because game lacks something.
How about fix the core issue of people quitting game before you punish them?

I do not owe any obligation to a team that is performing poorly, nor do i have obligations to be a punching bag for nade spammers. My fun>an awful match

What do you think this will accomplish? If somebody has given up the fight forcing them to stay won’t help you win. They’re more likely to jump in a vehicle or use a sniper to stay as far from combat as possible, or just sit in the respawn menu for as long as possible.
Forcing people to stay in a game they don’t want to play won’t force them to play well.

then you would need to ban 80% of the population of BR1-2 Soviets and Americans, and 100% of BR3 population that want to constantly downtier

Before the update, I felt similarly that game quitters should be punished more harshly because they could choose the scenario in which they played.
After the update, I understand every player who doesn’t want to play a map or an unfortunate battle rating solution.
It’s no fun having to play Tiger 2 and IS 2 on Stalingrad. It makes the hairs stand on the back of my neck to have to play something like that.
Likewise, it’s no fun to land a Tier 3 equipment squad in a Tier 5 match against a spam of “modern” assault rifles that can shoot opponents like a laser rifle.
Ironically, the update was intended to prevent people from leaving matches early. In my opinion, however, the update had the opposite effect.
Likewise, the update has brought up so many Mimimimi topics (for example, that you now always need the same equipment, etc…) that would ruin the game if the developers consider implementing it.
In reality, the Gengers were rarely positioned equally on the battlefield. Sometimes one had an advantage, sometimes just the other.
In my opinion, the developers would do well to focus more on historical accuracy again, as this creates the best balance.
Sometimes someone has better planes in a tier, while someone else has better tanks, but not as many… That’s just the way it was.

First things first - we need a game mode selection.
Man, A grown up adult can take a responbility in a game and irl.
Its just become a cancerous toxic affected in matchs. Imagine you lose 1 objectives points and 3-5 people in your team quiting. happen every match for real if you pay attention many just dont like trash team etc… just get penalty for at least wait for 5-10 mintues to que again… if they still quit can be x2 x2 x2
A grown adult can also expect some respect.
The game lacks respect for the player in terms of slapping them across the face with a bad mode, A bad map, Or even something like T2 America fighting Panzer 4 Js.
No one wants to deal with bad teams, Terrible match ups, or terrible modes.

If you want us to stay in the match and fight to the bitter end how about actually rewarding us instead of just giving us kick to the balls because our team couldn’t fight hard enough
I’m a grown man with a full time+ job that plays video games for fun in the limited free time I have. I’ll quit games all day long for any reason. I’ve got no obligation to the other randoms I’ve been matched up with and I don’t expect anything more from them.
Here’s an option for you: quit the match when you’re frustrated by quitters. It’s freeing, your stress levels will go down, and you’ll realize there’s always more matches to join
