I personally wish they would lock 1-2, lock 3-4 and leave 5 alone by itself. 0/0 would be great but I don’t see it happening. My biggest complaint has always been the soft rule which I hate for Japanese and Allies as you get to play your level 3 squads against fully auto in every category level 5 matches on occasion.
PPS-43 performs like 80 to 90% as good as the drum peashooters up close (you still melt everyone anyway) and infinitely better at almost any range past that.
If you’re gonna use the peashooters…just bring a flamer squad - you’ll be even better up close AND you get to also have an actual weapon to boot
I kinda don’t want +0/-0 matchmaking. The problem is the braindead “matchmaker” will happily put in an inexperienced BR3 team vs whaled out BR5 team for example)
I like the wider variety of wide BR matches. Problem is the BR of things and is often completely messed up
BR2 semiautos are artificial gimped to the point of insanity. BR3 is a complete mess. SVT-38 is so good you can still remain kind of viable in BR5 and it can be sent to curbstomp BR2 (and you even get a TT sniper variant!)…G41, Otsu and the Garand are hot garbage and in BR5 you stand no chance.
On one hand I like the fact that BR2 is mostly bolt action dominated…on the other hand G41, Otsu and the Garand are kinda on par for BR2 stuff IMO. Why is Japan’s Garand copy in BR4? It’s exactly comparable to G41 and SVT-38 beats the crap out of it… stuff like that.
Tons of BR3 tanks are amazing low tier stompers and complete garbage in uptiers. Lots of factions basically have nothing good in BR3 aviation, especially if you exclude events and premiums.
I little aside, is it just me who thinks that any game is winnable, even if the enemy has better weapons? I mean your downtiered teammate not using his BR3/BR5 vehicle while you suffer and die ofc sucks. But in terms of handheld weapons, worse weapons can be overcome with better positioning and working a more aggressive stance generally, dont give them the time to regroup and make a solid defensive line.
Its a bit rambly, but whenever I lose a match, I never think its because the enemy had better weapons (except for the KV-1 facing BR1 germans, thats monstrous… though admitally kinda immersive). Its always because I think, well ofc we lost, my team was camping 100-200m away from the objective and refusing to build rallies.
This unironically I think would be the perfect world version of enlisted. Though you then have the issue of why would you ever play BR1 or BR3 in such a case. I think a ±1 system is fine but then just exclude BR5 for the more over the top prototype or OP weapons.
I mean, I did wina game or two with BR2 lineup vs BR5 (back when the game had bugs that let that happen)
Obviously it is possible - it’s just that often really bad uptiers also coincide with your team being really bad. Dealing with one or two guys that have better gear is fine. When half the enemy team is chain cycling BR5 tanks its less fun
Enemy faction has more people than you trying to play, so the matchmaker just starts grabbing whatever from your faction - congrats, now you’re in br3 vs br5 type of match and that sucks.
Oh dont get me wrong, it can suck, but the only higher BR equipment that really makes the difference is vehicles, with small arms, as long as there is a will there is a way.
Funny how in my recent few games (about 10 games) in BR 3 i have yet to see the promised BR 5 spam according to the forum.
Maybe its just NA servers beeing fucked up but EU seams to do just fine filling those lobbies at my time.
I cant really tell how frequent it is or isnt.
Mostly play germuts, and only got BR2 and BR5 lineup.
While doing BA missions in BR2 its quite easy to notice BR3 KV’s and such.
But while doing the BR5, I rarely pay any attention what the opponent has as its not really anykind of problem for BR5 equipment ( Except murrican cas spam is rather easy to spot )
And ofc, sometimes those brave noobs that got a event gun and came in BR5 with T-60 and one ppd.
That being said, just out of principle BR5 should never fight BR3 nor BR3 against BR2.
The MP-717(r) fires even slower than the PPD and is still br5. There’s a reason for that. The slower ROF arguably makes it a better gun since you have more time on trigger.
