Balance idea for grenade launchers

Make the use of grenade launchers similar to that of flamethrowers by implementing a limit to how many can be equipped per squad, as flamethrowers squads can only have two flamethrowers to limit them, but yet with grenade launchers you can fully equip a 9 man squad with double grenade launchers each and that is in its self a very unbalanced thing to fight against, and its not fun while playing infantry to have your entire squad die to a single enemy spamming up to 5-6 grenade launchers at a time. so just to balance things out on the battlefield against spammers, limit the amount of grenade launchers to 2 per squad and make it that the 2 limit counts even if 1 soldier has double grenade launchers equipped.

If we were to make their explosions more consistent maybe.
We can also limit their grenade slots instead, like you can only take a frag nade OR a grenade launcher.

So we can only have 1-4 successful nades instead of 5-8 successful nades? Sounds like a major debuff to something that only works about 1/4 of the time

I don’t think it is necessary, since grenade launchers are in higher BRs.
Equip your squads with BR1 equipment, and you shouldn’t see them… That much, at least.

Single enemy squad?
I doubt a single surviving enemy rifleman can really do that consistently. It’s possible, but not something that can be relied upon.

I find it silly to give another weapon slot instead of a backpack slot.
But either way, this is suboptimal - if all soldiers in the squad are riflemen, this means there are no engineers in squad, which are important, because:
rally points are crucial.

Considering the state of GL rn I would personally take backpack and use the large grenade pouch, then I have 6 total grenades per rifleman and the half of the grenades work half of the time

I think there’s nothing wrong with that
This is a (war) themed game
This means that any efficient way to kill an enemy is basically reasonable and correct
Most of the time the overall advantages of automatic weapons are much higher than that of grenade launchers
Also the grenade launcher often fails to deal damage
Why is no one saying that a squad with 3 full powered automatic weapons or 4 automatic weapons or a 9 man automatic rifle is too powerful?

in addition
The positioning of weapons is also completely different
Automatic and semi-automatic weapons are suitable for suppression and assault
Hand drawn weapons suitable for long range attacks
The grenade launcher is suitable for suppressing and attacking behind bunkers or armored targets or dense targets.

The perspective of a regular grenade launcher user
If you are often killed by this weapon
Maybe you should try changing your route and try to use cover
Because the vast majority of grenade launcher users prefer to ambush unskilled players on main roads with good visibility.
If you encounter a grenade launcher at close range, please approach them immediately and shoot. This way you only need to sacrifice 1 soldier to kill 1 grenade launcher.

But each soldier has at least 2 levels of branches
You can prepare 2 different configurations

alliies have a semiauto weapo with grenade launcher thats my problem , why not for soviets, japan and axis… or devs pleasing a particular section of players

You mean soldier 1 and soldier 2?
That’s quite a drain of silver.

Grenadier class perhaps?

Because the anti-tank grenade Garand is classified as level 4
Level 4 environment means you will encounter automatic rifles and tigers
This makes the weapon less valuable than expected

The Garand should be downgraded first or given a level 3 version of the anti-tank grenade rifle.
Otherwise, it would be truly unfair to the U.S. military

I don’t care so much about this little money
Even without a premium account, I only need 7 to 9 games to purchase a premium soldier.
Even if their values fail, they can still earn most of the silver coins.
But they are really expensive
I miss the previous mechanics

Personally I’d preffer to remove hipfire from launchers. So ppl can’t jump around a corner and shoot you mid air (I over exaggerate but you get the point) and instead have to ADS and become slow target, much easier to kill.
