Balance german premium infantery out

Well. Tbf a normal Assaulter squad is still better.

XDDDDD are you serious?

They’re both a two shot inside of 10 meters, and the MP-40 has 120 more rpm.

It still has poor iron sites though …

They certainly don’t give any love to the Thompson’s hitting power.

The US never would have won against Germany, if the war wasn’t a “world war”.

Soviets did 80% of the fighting. Stop imagining things.

Historically, the Thompson wasn’t a big hitter.

I highly doubt the Soviets would have defeated the Germans without the “lend lease act”, or the US getting into the European war. Yes, the Soviets did most of the fighting against the Germans, however the US had another war on its hands and was fighting in two different theatres. Lets also not forget that it was the Soviets that invaded Finland in 1938, then collaborated with the Nazi’s to divide and invade Poland before they were double crossed by Hitler. The Germans were also fighting on two fronts, the Soviets were not so they could concentrate all their forces on the Germans.

Britain lend lease

USSR could stop Nazi Germany without lend-lease, but not defeat the Fatherland.
Large successful operations such as Bagration and Uranus required hundreds of thousands of trucks and a large reserve of infantry, vehicles, ammunition, provisions, fuel, spare parts ect…
USSR had enough manpower and could domesticly produce enough fighting vehicles, but everything else had to be supplemented from the west. Especially trucks and food, honestly if you do the maths you will find that without the lend-lease USSR would have had most of its population dangerously malnourished heavily decreasing production and moral or Nazi Germany would have out produced USSR by 1943 in either case, its a ~96% likely Axis victory before the end of 1944.

But honestly the same could be said about the British and US, they could defeat Germany on their on home turf, but without the Soviet Union tying down 70% of the Heer, no allied invasion would be possible.

It’s an impressive team effort and an insane amount of luck how the allies forced all of the Axis to unconditional surrender, when they were 10 minutes away from Endsieg in 1942.

And russia delivers the meat as always

Iirc no. The main flaws of the Thompson were its weight, reliability issues with certain magazines and economics. Its hitting power was actually one of its main pros.

As if Germany could ever defeat the US. They couldn’t even touch us!

Neither the US without using other nations as bases.
And considering the German superiority in rocket science, they would have been more likely to reach US than vice versa.

Alright then, how would Germany defeat America? Go on. What’s the tactics. Where are the troops going? How will they make Washington DC fall? How will they break the will of the American People? The ONLY thing they can do is sink our boats when we don’t have anything to sink their U-Boats first. Germany can’t do jack to America. So tell me, how does Germany win?

Germany invading the US on its own is not very realistic, Germany would need to have everything go according to its plans, seizing the French navy, British empire allying with Germany in 1940, quickly defeating the Soviets, Italy and Japan with the rest of Europe proveding their navy and resources.
But let’s be realistic, why on earth would Germany bother with invading the US, if not for Roosevelt’s anti-German politics, Germany would have maintained a pristine relationship with the United States.

Well if the US can’t beat Nazi Germany then surely that means Nazi Germany has to defeat the US. So I’m trying to figure out how in the world Germany wins in a war with the US cause I just don’t see any situation where Germany wins. I just don’t. If Germany is incapable of winning, then the US is able to win. Most probably by forcing/coercing/whatevering the UK into being the springboard into Europe just as they were IRL and jumping into France and starting the Western Front again. Whether or not D-Day actually succeeds this time is questionable given the sheer increase in numbers there. Still, I believe the US is fully capable of solo’ing Germany

This thread became weird.
